The ruins are spectacular but the management is poor. Waited 15 minutes to park at river side with one person in the booth, and fees have gone up again from last year. Better off going to Fountains Abbey.

Visit this place take the kids and make a day of it.... Enjoy a cuppa in the café. PS: Don't forget the camera!!

Great views of the priory and a nice walk for the kids, the stepping stones are great in the summer although it can get quite busy. The surrounding area of the yorkshire dales is always worth a visit

£8 to park and that includes 5 passenger's access to the abbey and it's grounds. The stepping stones are ace and is great for kids and all the family. Take your own picnic, sit by the river and you can't beat it. There is also a good walk down the river and back up the other side. A good cheap day out!

What a view when you first walk in. Try the steppingstone over the river. Plenty of space to play and picnic. The abbey is stunning with its grounds.
