usual practice to receive a contract of employment after you start work?
Hi everyone! Just wanted to check if it’s a usual practice to receive a contract of employment after you start work in the UK? It concerns an office job in nonprofit sector. Thank you!

It's normal in some industries but not ideal.

Legally they have 2 weeks after u start working to give u a written contract but u can also demand to see it before actually accepting the job.

Happens all the time! I can't remember the last time I signed a job contract. I hate them, I avoid HR and make my excuses.
