Welcome to Squirrel Apartment, a newly refurbished 2 bedroom self catering property in Speyside in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park - ideal for outdoor adventurers and nature lovers. Our cosy and comfortable self contained, ground floor, one-storey apartment sleeps four, so is ideal for couples or families who are looking to explore the area, take part in the numerous activities available locally, or simply relax and enjoy the beautiful Scots Pine forests that surround us. Squirrel has two bedrooms - one twin and one double, a fully fitted kitchen, family bathroom and large living/dining room with French doors onto its own elevated private fenced garden , well above the Dulnain River. The apartment is attached and behind a family house and has its own private entrance and parking. It is warm and cosy due to the gas central heating and double glazing and there is plenty of hot water on demand. Wifi is available. All towels and linens are provided and electricity is included within the cost of the rental.

Great day out for the kids with a lot to do and explore, nice setting in Carrbridge with some great walks. Can be busy but has loads of car parking. Nice restaurant area with decent food for the price, small gift shop where you can buy something to remember your trip.

It's OK for a single visit, a nice mix of very basic theme park with forest walks. Good access and free parking. Friendly helpful staff.

Landmark is a firm fave for me. Full of fun activities from a treetop walk with lots of wildlife to see to water slides and high rope aerial assault courses there is something for all ages. It is dog friendly and there are loads of walks to go on. The butterfly house and illusion rooms are amazing! There is a grill where you can buy food and picnic areas if you choose to self cater. It is well worth the money for a visit.

Not really a theme park with big rides. More of an adventure park with smaller rides set in a lovely rural location with great board walks (wheelchair accessible) through the pine forest. Not too crowded when we went out of school holiday period: no queues. The optical illusion exhibits were great fun.

It's amazing to see an independent company so active in constantly improving and investing in themselves. A great day out and a general feeling that the park cares about more than just profit.

Landmark started as a forest adventure park and over the years has added new attractions. The forest side of the park includes a nature walk along a raised boardwalk, a fire tower with steps to the top, old steam forestry machinery and interesting things like a pine cone drying kiln. Then there are some good rides including a roller coaster and a water slide. There are lots of active activities here, such as zip wires, climbing wall, a forest labrynth that will tire out children! Then you can visit the beautiful (newly added) butterfly house. Along the way there are lots of strange/funny attractions, such as the wonky room, the spinning room and the fat bums seats. There is also an inside area called the bambozoleam - not containing bamboo, but full of things that will bamboozle you! - and very handy if it rains!!
Food wise, there is an outside grill serving burgers and snacks and a large restaurant inside, both are reasonably priced.
A word of warning - it gets VERY busy in school holidays and you may need to queue to get on rides.- 40s
