A friendly group of staff will attend to you, your family and your family dog for the duration of your stay. The owners are very approachable, the food is fantastic and the rooms are clean, all on the 1st floor and mostly ensuite. With ample off road car parking and areas for the kids and dog to play and a variety of walks close at hand there's something for everyone. With a well stocked bar, a spacious dining room and a dance floor should the occasion arise there's a lot on offer from this friendly little village hideaway

The Cairn Hotel is a pub/restaurant as well as a hotel. The bar area is very cosy with an open fire and tables and chairs, a pool table (squeezed into a tiny space!) and then another room that is quieter that you can also sit in, this has a conservatory type frontage. The hotel is really friendly, the staff are great and the locals are talkative. Dogs and children are welcome and I have seen people with limited mobility in the hotel too. The menu focuses on local food and changes seasonally but there are also daily specials. As well as burgers, steaks, steak pie, venison etc there are also some unusual dishes such as my favourite- haddock macaroni! My only complaint is that the main courses are so large, I can never manage a starter or pudding!
