        • The hospital with good facilities. It's internal look improved much recently but they are still struggling with the nursing shortage. In-house nurses are good, although the trading of new nurses are behind the level that the previous nurses had.
        • Came into Kingston today for a womb biopsy, scared l was. Didn't help my nerves having to wait 2hrs for my appointment. I do appreciate the NHS and the jobs they do. The female registrar and the nurse were lovely as l burst into tears as soon as l got in the room. Biopsy done feeling shaky l left nobody explained to me what was to come! As l was walking over to the car park l felt a trickle running down my leg and felt strange with bad cramping. I managed somehow to walk to my car which was not parked at the hospital, so a bit of a walk. I could tell l was bleeding more. I drove home and when l got home, their was blood running down my legs and a lot, l was very scared as l was alone. Eventually cleaned up still bleeding with awful cramps l curled up on the sofa with a hot water bottle. Please please somebody at the hospital team explain to patients that this may happen. I am quite a strong woman however this terrified me again. I am still bleeding and in pain and l will never have this done again with a GA. As l mentioned above l cannot fault the Doctor she was lovely or the nurse who hand l gripped through out.
        • I sat in A&E for over 6 hours with my friend who has an enlarged heart & irregular heart beat before receiving any information on her test results from the bloods & heart trace that were taken upon arrival. after finally getting to talk to a doctor we were then informed that the paperwork from her first heart trace had been miss placed?! During The time we waited to see a doctor and find out if she would be kept in I was shocked at what i saw and hear on the A&E ward . After 8 hours we were told she would have to stay the night but there were no free beds on any wards so she was kept on the A&E ward, we were shown to a cubicle which had not been cleaned the bed was then wiped down and the nurse left the room. We waited 30mins and the nurse did not return so I went on the search for him, couldn't find him any were so just put the sheet on the bed my self and asked around for blankets and pillows to which I was told there were "no pillows down here " and given one thin blanket. There was an elderly woman wondering around the ward who seemed very out of it. I am shocked and appalled, I honestly didn't want to leave my friend in the care of this hospital .
        • Parking is a joke and a rip off. It's such a stupid way of paying for it. Always a huge cue for a space. Some of the staff in the maternity unit are fantastic but it also feels like most of the time you are forgotten about and left in a room for hours with out seeing anyone. No one seems to tell you anything.
        • On monday i felt very sick and decided to take the day off work. Throughout the day i developed pain that got worse and worse. By 7pm i was in excruciating pain and thought "this is serious ", i started looking at symptoms on google and i had all the hallmarks of a stomach ulcer. I decided i better go to the hospital. I started to get ready but as i did i began hyperventilating, panicing, shaking and fell to my knees in agony. I rang 999 for and ambulance. When i got there i was assessed and put in "minors" for 5 hours and after that it was decided that a stomach ulcer was indeed a likely prospect and i would need an endoscopy to be sure. In the meantime i should go home and request my gp to ask the hospital for a referral for an urgent endoscopy and was prescribed co-drydomol which for my pain was an insufficient pain killer and some anti acid pills called omeprazole. But they didn't have the omeprazole and i would have to go back the the hospital chemist the next day to pick it up. I went home. The next day i woke up and rang my doctor and asked her to send the referall to the hospital. While i was on the phone i told her i really didn't think i could make it to the hospital to pick up the omeprazole as i was still in alot of pain. The doctor sent a prescription to the pharmacy that is around the corner from my house which was much better for me. .... i walked to the pharmacy and got the pills. Whilst in there i collapsed again in the worst pain ive ever experienced i was crying on the floor of the pharmacy and an ambulance was called for me and off i went again to hospital. On the way i was given gas and air and morphine and by the time we got to the hospital i have to say i felt great!.... again i was assessed and put in the waiting room to wait to see the hospital gp. The gp did the usual tapping of the back and check of temp and heart rate etc and i was told to go home and take gaviscon and given some slightly stronger pain killers (co codomol) Wednesday, all day, agony Thursday agony... i decided to ring the endoscopy unit to see if they had managed to make an appointment for me as i couldnt wait for a letter in the post. I spoke to someone in the unit and explained my situation. I was told "no we haven't received a referral for you from your gp" I rang the gp and asked them please could you send an urgent referral for me im in agony. "We sent it on tuesday" was the response. I rang back the endoscopy unit and got the same man.. "my gp has sent it, by fax and electronically". I was told to hold the line..... "oh yes its here" "it just has to go to triage and as its thursday well be getting back to you early next week"...so i have to continue with this pain??? "Well you could go back to A+E". Its now friday 26th may . I have been in excruciating pain for 5 days now been to hospital twice in an ambulance and i know i have a stomach ulcer and i need antibiotics so i can start to recovery but i won't be given anything until I've been diagnosed correctly. The request for an endoscopy was "sitting in the inbox" for two days without anyone noticing ..... i can't go to work and am beginning to get depressed. Stomach ulcers might not be that serious to the hospital but its halted my life at the moment and i feel discusted by the way I've been delt with.
