The Brandenburg Gate is the most acclaimed historic monument in Berlin. It was a symbol of disunity but now represents unity. The gate was authorized for use in 1788 by King Friedrich Wilhelm II and it is 26 meters tall with its location at Mitte district's Pariser Platz, near Reichstag building. Since it was a blocked gate during the cold war, it was the usual spot for demonstrations by people of West Berlin.

        • It was so much better than I expected. So much detail and artistry. Very cool landmark. Everything in Germany just has so much history that I wanted to visit everything, however I would recommend visiting this at least once if you're here. It was very crowded, especially during the summer. I heard its very beautiful during the night so go see it!
        • It is a very interesting place to go. It can be very busy during the day making the photos difficult to look great. I would recommend to go in summer Earle morning before 7am to make great day time photo and after 10pm to get great night shot. You will feel the history that this place went through when you stand in front of it. In the evening you .ca rent fancy cycling cars from 2 to 20 people where you can ride and share a beer together.
        • It's the first thing many people think of when they think about Berlin. That alone makes it's worth a visit. The gate itself is quite beautiful and the are where it stands is great as well. You have a busy square with lots of great restaurant to one side and a lovely park to the other.
        • A very ionic structure of architecture. It is near many embassies, hotels. and cafes. Right behind it is the park and a short warm away is the parliament building. A lot of yours start here and it’s a great place to take a picture. Hope this helps!
        • This is a fantastic place and an important piece of modern history. Very impressive, day or night. One of the most poplar locations in Berlin and is also a key location in any movie associated with WW2. Should be on any traveller's must see list when near Berlin. This along with the last remnants of the Berlin wall
