  Love it here. It is starting to look a bit gruby. Maybe close for a few days and give it a good clean . It would be a shame if it got like doncaster dome .

  It's great, good value and considering how busy it gets it's very well kept. My daughter loved it. So many life guards and they're all friendly. I marked it 4 not 5 as the food options aren't great and the changing rooms are a bit cramped. Wouldn't stop me going back though

  Good selection of water fun for all ages with fast slides and diving boards for older ones and pirate ship with slides for little ones. Can be a little pricey for a swim, but offers decent value for it.

  Really good facilities, looking a worn in places, love that there are diving boards, proper swimming pool, separate leisure pool with waves separated baby pool. Lots of slides for all ages. Great value for money.

  Took family swimming and was 1st time there for my granddaughter aged 1. We took her into a designated toddler pool where the water temperature is kept a few degrees warmer. After an hour in the toddler pool we went to the main pool for another hour. Wasn't many people in do loads of room. Adult swim cost £4.95 and £1.95 for under 3yrs. Excellent pool. Clean male/female & family changing areas. Safe decent sized lockers. Plenty of staff to monitor safety. Also has a bowling alley, gym, function suite and conference facilities. A licenced bar and 2 places to have a snack or a meal. All reasonable prices and we'll worth a visit.

  Used swimming facilities and had a good day. Staff friendly, I never knew but you can get a pram lock and leave your pram while you swim(£5 returnable) which I was impressed with. Only thing I will say is the lifeguards are too quick to blow their whistles at every little thing, we had an issue with one in particular who was being very picky over everyone in baby pool, once he changed posts everyone seemed to relax a lot more and there was less whistle noise! No waves on that day which the kids were disappointed with.

  Went for Sunday lunch and was very impressed. Staff pleasant, helpful and very friendly. Definitely would recommend, we'll certainly be going again.

  I have my daughters swimming lessons here and I have to say I'm really happy with them and it's a lovely complex A little expensive at weekends but much better value through the week during school time! Photographers available to take pictures which you can purchase, they're a little expensive but very very good!!!

  Calypso Cove is great fun, has water slides, oasis, wave machine. Also diving boards. There's a cafe and restaurant too.

  A lot to do in one place. The cafe upstairs was good quality. Don't know about the others. Pool was good fun for children and families.

  Great for swimming, I took my daughter who loved the slides. I was however very disappointed with the lunch we had in "the hideout". Possibly the worst burger I have ever had, it also beared no resemblance to the picture shown above the till. Felt ripped off.

  Good fun. Has slides, a wave pool, a diving board as well as lanes and a baby pool. Downside is it gets very busy on a weekend and the 3 hour swim is a bit pricey. Also, there aren't many changing rooms so make sure you get out a few mins before they call your band out of the pool!

  Looking for entertainment for our two children during half term my wife and I bought a pulse one radio voucher for a game of bowling and and hour and a half in the pool, it was fantastic. The pool wasn't overly crowded and the lines for the flumes weren't too long, it was just a really good day and we're looking to get ourselves back again when we have the time.

  Swimming area is great fun, but announcements are almost impossible to hear, so it's hard to know when sessions finish. Changing rooms are clean though. Prices slightly expensive but acceptable for what you get.

  I have been going to Barnsley Metrodome since I was a child and now I take my children there. We live over in Wakefield now and I still make the trip over to have an afternoon of fun with our children. We meet up with other family and the go for a swim and a game of bowling with quick meal which is great value and the kids love it. Can't really knock the Metrodome good fun and fair on price.

  Gym is a joke at the minute. I would not advise anyone to join. So disorganised its unbelievable. If you're after dumbbells or plates you'll have to search for them. Personal trainers are allowed to run classes in the gym which mean they take up a large section of the gym. Music is terrible and the basic layout of the gym needs a massive rethink

  Fun for all ages, take my little boy every Saturday to teach him to swim (3yr old) the toddler pool is great for him when he's too anxious to go in the calypso cover area

  Great family day out £35 for a family of 4 for bowling and swimming..although not well advertised. The lady that booked us in was lovely as we were running late due to traffic but they were very accommodating. Calypso cove is fab plenty to do and although busy not too long to wait for the slides. Loads of lifeguards too. We didn't eat as we'd heard it was expensive but we really enjoyed our visit. One point is that there is not enough showers for how big it is.

  First time been here today and we all enjoyed it sat nav took us different way like. Water was warm thank God as most baths water are to cold the slides are good only problem we had no information was given to we're we go or anything but wasn't a problem will go back again could do with saying you get discount if you a carer. Saved a bit with that.

  Good swimming pool and wave pool. Also other facilities are good such as bowling and fitness room and function area. A good alternative to waterworld at Stoke on Trent since it went down the pan.

  Could definitely do with a few more showers in the family changing area, 3 cubicles for the whole of the complex is just silly and results in children standing around getting cold whilst they wait. If blue shoe covers are to be worn then you need staff to ensure this is adhered to by everyone, I saw people walking around poolside in outside footwear. That being said, you need to have a bin to put them in on the way out of the changing room, one just for the covers. As it's easy to forget you have them on. Maybe a sign would be an advantage too. The food in the poolside bar leaves a lot to be desired, it is overpriced for the quality. The staff in there are lovely though and work hard with what they have been given.

  No prior warning that the Calypso Cove shuts early at the Weekend. Bowling was good, but the soft drinks weren't up to much. Today the slush machine in the bowling area doesn't work. Still the children are making the best of it.

  Good venue, went to a football presentation and they made a really good job compared to others we've been to. The cafe is also good quality.

  This has to be the best activity swimming pool. Small shallow pool children who are gaining confidence. Slides and rides for everyone else including a diving pool. The main pool starts like water on the beach and has a wave machine which is turned on every so often. Wonderful experience for the whole family. Food is good and reasonably priced.

  Great staff, empty in a weekday but they stay open. The rides are ok but the diving boards are the best. Pity they weren't open when they should've been
