      • Springfield
Springfield, Virginia, is a suburban community 17 miles south of Washington, DC. It’s not an incorporated city, but politically is part of Fairfax County. Springfield residents nevertheless have a strong community identity characterized by the neighborhood in which they live: Central Springfield, North Springfield, or West Springfield.

Springfield has long been a transportation hub and gateway to the Nation’s Capital. The Franconia-Springfield Metro station in Central Springfield affords all-day parking and convenient Metro transportation for visitors to Washington. It’s also convenient to shopping at Springfield Mall and nearby specialty stores. The massive Springfield Interchange, where Interstate Highways 95 from Richmond and Baltimore, 495 from Tyson’s Corner, and 395 from Washington all converge in the “Mixing Bowl,” brings in highway travelers from near and far. You might visit Springfield if you are traveling along Interstate 95 and stop for a meal or an overnight stay.

Springfield’s population is diverse. You’ll find "mom-and-pop" ethnic restaurants and stores in Central Springfield and good Asian cuisine and Greek-style “family restaurants” in all parts of the community.

Founded in 1854 as a railway stop, Springfield does have a history, though one must carefully seek it out amid the suburban facade. Parks like Lake Accotink Park and Hidden Pond Nature Center preserve natural habitats and provide outdoor recreation spots for residents.

Fairfax was a small easy going town from long ago. On a cold winter day you could lay down on US Hwy 50 center stripe for minutes without any traffic. Now its a typical very busy suburb of Washington DC...still a nice place to live.

        • Having learned from the practice manager that this clinic has been getting many bogus negative reviews from nearby competitor, I felt compel to write this review. I have been a patient of the clinic for more than 7 years seeing both the primary care providers and Dr. Do as a specialist. The practice has been in Annandale since 2005 and just relocated to this new location next to Safeway last year. The clinic is spacious, modern, immaculately clean, and has very comfortable sitting areas (you can see some of the pictures on the website). The only complaint I may have is the choice of the overhead classical music. Staff are generally very well trained, caring, often going out of their ways asking me and other patients how everyone is doing and if anyone is needing assistance. The urgent care services from the providers whom I had seen (both the docs and nurse practitioners) are top notch. They work as a team, listen to their patients, and provide meticulous care, not doc in a box type of service. The location is very convenient (next to Safeway where I can just walk over and pick up my prescriptions after the visit) with ample parking space just outside the front doors. I do not use the online appointment request so cannot comment on it. In regards to reviews complaining about the long wait, there probably aren’t many good clinics, doctor offices, or urgent cares that don’t have a long wait now and then. Even so, it is very seldom that I have to wait long. When I do have to wait, the receptionists keep me informed and I am reassured that the staff are working diligently and not rushing people out the door. This is by far one of the best clinics in the area for both urgent care and primary care and I recommend it highly.
        • I am so very frustrated with this facility for a recent visit. In the past we have been here for "urgent care" services. They are no longer categorized as such so the bill we received is way more than what we expected to pay. I am going in circles with our insurance and their billing to resolve. But that is after frustrations with other aspects of the visit as well. I went in for a dog bite on my leg. While I got in quickly enough, was reviewed and treated efficiently, the 'fix' was a cleaning of the wounds and a band-aid on each puncture. No stitches despite a nearly inch long and very deep puncture. The physicians assistant said they do not suture animal bites because of infection. But, the wound is just now healing, six weeks later. And, research I did on my own revealed that bites of a certain length and depth should be sutured regardless. Mine was clearly one. They did give me a tetanus shot and a prescription for antibiotics - which would have addressed any potential infection. Furthermore, when we received the detailed bill for services, it included $263 for an office visit, $63 for administering the tetanus shot (in addition to the cost of the shot), and $237 for "simple repair" of the wound. That 'simple repair' was cleaning and band-aids (some of which were suture band aids, but all fell off and didn't contribute to healing). So the total for this 25 minute visit came to nearly $650. The many calls I've made since to billing, coding, supervisors, etc and to my insurance have not changed or resolved any of this. While staff have been pleasant, they have not addressing the core issues of inadequate care and inappropriate billing.
        • PLEASE READ!!!!!! The worst medical experience of my life. Bring a lunch, you're gonna be there for a while... on top of the unimaginable wait, you'll also have to contend with horrible attitudes, horrible service, just an overall uninviting experience. At any rate this review probably won't help you much, you're probably being forced to go by your job. The only people that are ever in the waiting room are there for a work obligation. If it wasn't for contracts with large institutions they'd be out of business. The staff are lost and the nurses wear white coats pretending to be "doctors". Every time I ask how much longer, they respond with 2 or 3 minutes. More like 15 minutes and then you get jailed into 1 of 5 jail exam rooms for another 40 minutes until they figure out who will see which patient. My exam room was dirty and had blood smeared on the floor and a used needle on the bed and used purple gloves. Just a dirty experience.
        • I heard about the problem Annandal Urgent Care has had with the multiple fake online review. I just wanted to add that my family my wife and 2 children have been seen at the clinic for the past 5 years now and we always received friendly and caring service from the providers and staff at clinic. We rarely have to wait long before being seen. I am glad though to see that the previous manager who was there for a short time is no longer working at this clinic. He had an insincere and uncaring attitude and i would not be surprised at all if someone like him was behind these comments (just a thought). Annandale has always been a wonderful and convenient clinic for my family.
        • I walked in here to see Dr Do and was told he only does appointments only. Which makes no sense because the website says no appointment necessary and the building sign says walk-ins accepted. That's false advertising. What they meant to say according to the receptionist Lynn, urgent care is only for physicians assistant (glorified medical assistant) that can write scripts. But I wanted to see the cardiologist and I don't want to wait 2 months to see a 2 star doctor according to health grades now that I Googled him. I wish they can properly display what's meant by urgent care in clear concise writing instead of causing potential new patients here with high hopes and find out its a border line scam to lure patients to see a weak middle level provider.
