Users Assigned: KazmiLocated about 10 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles, Pasadena, CA sits in a beautiful area at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. As of 2009, the population is 150,185.
The Rose Bowl where college teams play the New Year Day bowl game and the Tournament of Roses parade are the two most well known things about Pasadena. In addition to this, The California Institute of Technology (Caltech) is also located in Pasadena. You can find NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the Huntington Library and the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena.Old Town Pasadena is one of the more famous areas known for its popular shopping districts and picturesque neighborhoods. Upscale restaurants like Ruth Chris, Mi Piace, Yard House, Houstons, The Arroyo Chop House and now Roy's! It's a great place to meet up with friends!
If the hustle and bustle of Old Towne isn't for you, check out South Lake street. Many small cafes/restaurants and shops to occupy your time for the day.
Another little known fact is that parrots have naturalized to this community. Most often seen during winter months there are as many as five different kinds throughout the city.

Burbank is located in the eastern region of the San Fernando Valley, north of Downtown Los Angeles.
Billed as the "Media Capital of the World", many media and entertainment companies are headquartered or have significant production facilities in Burbank, including NBC Universal, The Walt Disney Company, and Warner Bros. Entertainment.
The town has come a long way from the days when it was ironically referred to as "Beautiful Downtown Burbank" on Laugh-In and The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.
Burbank Town Center is a large shopping mall that opened in August 1991, located on Magnolia Boulevard with three levels of interior shopping anchored by Macy’s, Mervyn’s, Sears, and outdoor shopping anchored by Ikea, Loehmann’s, and Office Depot. Also, in the heart of all the shopping, downtown Burbank hosts the AMC Theaters - 30 screens which is a big hit.
Although commonly believed to be named for famous horticulturalist Luther Burbank who once lived in Santa Rosa, California, the city is actually named for David Burbank, a New Hampshire-born dentist and entrepreneur.
