    Located about 10 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles, Pasadena, CA sits in a beautiful area at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. As of 2009, the population is 150,185.

    The Rose Bowl where college teams play the New Year Day bowl game and the Tournament of Roses parade are the two most well known things about Pasadena. In addition to this, The California Institute of Technology (Caltech) is also located in Pasadena. You can find NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the Huntington Library and the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena.

    Old Town Pasadena is one of the more famous areas known for its popular shopping districts and picturesque neighborhoods. Upscale restaurants like Ruth Chris, Mi Piace, Yard House, Houstons, The Arroyo Chop House and now Roy's! It's a great place to meet up with friends!

    If the hustle and bustle of Old Towne isn't for you, check out South Lake street. Many small cafes/restaurants and shops to occupy your time for the day.

    Another little known fact is that parrots have naturalized to this community. Most often seen during winter months there are as many as five different kinds throughout the city.
