Camden TownCamden Town is an inner city district in northwest London, England. Camden is home to the ever famous Camden Markets. Camden is well-known for its markets, Camden Lock market proper started in a former timber-yard in 1973, and is now surrounded by five more markets: Buck Street market, Stables market, Camden Lock village, and an indoor market in the Electric Ballroom. The markets are a major tourist attraction at weekends, selling goods of all types including fashion, lifestyle, books, food, junk/antiques and more bizarre items; they and the surrounding shops are popular with young people, in particular those searching for "alternative" clothing.
Camden is also where Charles Dickins set the home of Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol. An outstanding experience been there three times and each time there was a better surprise. Any animal you want to see they have and best of all they have a penguin show. It is the best thing there. I personally would rate it higher than a 5. I would recommend to anyone who asks me about it.

Really worth the price, especially with the 2-for-1 offer. The aquarium was really neat, so were the zones where you could walk with the animals. The otters were the cutest little things EVER. Even the hot chocolate was for a fair price. Can't judge the price of the food, as I had my own snacks with me.

We were in London for 5 days and kept this for half a day. Turned out that was too less a time to keep pace with our little one's demands (and the kid inside us, too!). We took the fast track ticket, which was good as the entry was close to where we were dropped by the cab. For the general ticket we had to walk a few hundred meters more. The zoo is divided into segments, each interesting in it's own way. Select the one's you want to see because you can't see all in a day and enjoy it too. We started with the penguins. The butterflies place was awesome. They have nice areas with washrooms and places to eat. And then they have areas for children to play! Take some time out for it too! Our daughter wanted to see giraffe and Zebra. Turned out it was to one end of the zoo (across the road via a tunnel). So we literally had to run as we had a Madame Tussaud booking for later in the day. It was a great day out and next time we will keep a day for it, weather permitting of course!

Great city Zoo - The kids loved it. Easy to get to. A wide array of creatures from across the world and to be honest difficult to do everything in one day! We'll be back soon!

I found it a disappointment. When we went with our young children, fifty years ago, there were many different species to see. African lions, Elephants, Polar bears to name but a few. Today by comparison, the variety is very sparse. The Gorilla enclosure was well advertised but, the animals could not be seen because of the camouflage on the windows. I appreciate there was a notice stating it was so the animals could have privacy. But, there should be a more equal consideration of the needs of the paying public. I spoke to a young lady in the information booth who explained that the zoo had been modernised so that there were fewer species with more room for the animals benefit. Fine, but why should we pay the hefty charges to see so little. I appreciate that winter is not the best time to visit the zoo with most of the animals inside but I cannot see that even in the summer that we are getting value . It will be at least another fifty years before I pay another visit.
