        • This is an unusual destination for most tourists but I highly recommend that you consider it in your Bangkok trip itinerary. This 5,000 square-foot home is both beautiful and historic. It is actually a group of several homes that were moved to the side and Linc together. The homes I made a beautiful wood and have breathtaking views of a garden. The house/museum is full of remarkable art and history. It chronicles the remarkable life of Jim Thompson who was an American who immigrated to Thailand to start a famed silk company. Sadly, after living in the home for just a couple of years, he vanished mysteriously in Malaysia, never to be found. There’s a wonderful gift shop and restaurant that serves delicious food. This destination is a perfect place for a short, cultural visit for individuals that are interested in art and history.
        • A well organised and maintained museum/attraction. A good place to visit if you are interested in the silk industry or the design of the house itself. You cannot go in alone and you must pay to be in a tour group. The tour guides speak a variety of languages too. It wasn't a bad experience. Just not suited to my interests.
        • Classic Thai house This would show you the classic Thai wooden house. Very beautiful. They have their own guides for several languages such as English, French, etc. The tour took about an hour. The cuisine there was interesting too. Nice Thai food. The souvernir shop was plenty of nice stuff but quite expensive. Anyway, the beauty of their silk clothes was worth
        • Definitely worth a visit. Beautiful and peaceful oasis in the centre of the city, easily accessible from BTS National Stadium. The tour guide was very lovely, spoke about everything very naturally and with a lot of passion, which is rarely seen elsewhere. The tour takes 35 min and costs 150 B for adult. You'll be asked to put your bags in storage lockers and take off your shoes before entering the house.
        • Coming from Jim Thompson’s home town, this really inspired me. His residence is absolutely breathtaking and his history is very intriguing. I dare you to not come here and want to immediately want to relocate to Bangkok. This tour is absolutely worth it if you are in the city. The cafe and store are also highlights on their own. Great way to burn an afternoon.
