Redondo BeachThis is a beach community along the southern California coastline. The Pacific ocean is the western neighbor and thus there are many surfing beaches, even though the waves are not very big. Summer temperatures are generally into the eighties daytime and fifties in the evening with a breeze off the ocean beginning in mid afternoon. Winter temperatures drop to only the forties and fifties daytime and the mid forties in the evening.
Pacific Coast Highway runs through Redondo Beach. Housing costs are quite high in this beach community and especially near the beach you will find multi-story apartments and condominiums. The main parts of town are old by California standards, being built in the early 20th century. You will find this to be mainly a residential community.
Redondo Beach has a wonderful pier to enjoy walking, fishing or just people watching. Best part of the pier, it's not the normal straight out into the water pier. It triangles with restaurants situated on the pier. It also has an arcade... but the best part of this pier is during crab season when you can purchase crabs or lobsters from the dozens of tanks and just pig out!!Redondo Beach, CA, USA
