Now most people do not associate Salem with Pirates. But Piracy does prove to be a pivital point in US history. They helped with the US win over the Revolutionary War.In this place infamous pirate captains, like as; Blackbeard, Kidd and Quelch, voyaged the waters off Boston’s North seashore, famous for the Gold Coast, and self-styled witches were hanged up at Salem. Many pirates like today’s new Englanders spent their summer here and winter in the tropics. In fact, most 17th and 18th centuries were new Yorkers and new Englanders, with merchandise from Europe and silver and gold from America. A number of illegal people buried their wealth and treasures in the islands far from the seashore that are still there and some are just going to be dug up.

Friendly staff and nice location. Breakfast was better than your average 2 star hotel. Bed was comfortable. Decent location off of I-95, easy access!

Amazing food. It looks sketchy at first but as soon as you walk in its amazing very nice rooms great people working here. Would definitely come again

I'm an EMT who was called to the Lakeside Inn. The staff there was very helpful, and the rooms looked nice. It's definitely a safe choice!

I paid $100 for a night here. The place is a bit rundown and the main thing that was absolutely terrible was that the bar downstairs plays LOUD music until around midnight. I mean loud as in the walls rattle and you can feel the bass. I called the front desk at 11:30pm asking how long this will go on as it was going since 9pm. They told me they would ask the bar to turn it down. Nothing happened...Isn't this a HOTEL and not a bar? Who goes to a hotel to put up with insanely loud music when you need to sleep because you have stuff to do the next day? I will never stay here again. There were drunk people right outside my window yelling and the whole experience was awful.
