      • Kent
Kent is very spread out, encompassing areas on the west hill near the I-5 freeway, the valley area near hwy-167 and the east hill of kent. The valley is largely covered with warehouses and big business and the hills are more residential generally. Kent is close to I-5, 167, hwy-405, hwy18 etc.

It borders renton and Tukwila so you are very close to the very large SouthCenter shopping area as well as stores like Ikea just down the hill from the hospital on the renton/kent border area.

Close to the Emerald Downs Racetrack(horses) in Auburn and within about 1/2 hour of the Snoqualmie valley or Tacoma areas. approx 45 min- 1 hour drive to Seattle(traffic?).

Kent is building a large entertainment center where i believe they will start playing either semi-professional soccer or hockey? This is located by the smaller downtown mall and theaters and the light rail train station.

Each year Kent has a neat little food and fun event for a couple days downtown.
        Kent, WA, USA
      • Federal Way
Federal Way is about 45 min. - 1 hour from Seattle and about 15-20 minutes to downtown Tacoma. Located near the I-5 freeway and at the western end of Hwy 18 which links the area with cities like auburn/covington/maple valley/Snoqualmie/North Bend and gets you to I-90 (good way to miss traffic if trying to get to I-90 to head over the mountains).

Home to the Commons at Federal Way shopping center(mall and theaters) and lots of other retail options and food options. Also home to the Enchanted Village fun park and Wild Waves water park, near where hwy 18 comes into Federal Way.

There are a couple of nice parks along the pouget sound water front in both Federal Way and the neighboring water areas of N.E. Tacoma. In the center of The city near the mall there is a large outdoor baseball and soccer complex.

      • Seattle
Arty, alternative Seattle might rain like India during monsoon season at times, but there’s little else depressing about it. From the iconic Space Needle (only worth ascending should the weather be dramatically better than average, unless you want to be staring at the insight of a cloud or watching raindrops drip off the window) to a lively outdoor culture and fashionable coffee & nightlife scene, anyone who likes things up to the minute and different is going to love this city.

Seattle’s a very green city – it should be, considering the water that falls on it – and when you do get a sunny day, walking the city centre and exploring the numerous public gardens with a warm, well-made coffee in hand is the perfect way to use it. There’s a wetland zoo and a waterfall garden, an aquarium and an impressive monorail to cruise round it all on. When you’re done with the inner city natural sites, climb into a kayak and explore the harbor, take a ferry to beautiful Bainridge Island, or hop on a mountain bike and head out into the wild.

Pike Place Market is a wonderful taste of the Seattle of old, hosting farm products and seafood that you can have cooked up in a nearby restaurant. The harbor walk is another must see, with plenty of excursions around the bay on offer, as well as that aquarium, where you’ll find a mammoth octopus and even a coastal tide pool. Head for Pioneer Square for another historic take on Seattle, filled with art galleries and high-class boutique shopping amongst the traditional buildings.

The ‘fish ladders’, which allow salmon to swim up the Ballard Locks into the freshwater above Puget Sound, are another unique Seattle attraction carefully laid open to the visitor, but it’s the lively, playful, art-focused attitude that has most visitors loving this city.

There's no reason for a visitor to limit his/her scope to the downtown area. There are plenty of noteworthy sites and activities in Seattle's quirky neighborhoods. From street art and Theo chocolates in Fremont to art museums and kayaking in the University District. Ballard, Capitol Hill, and the Central District are each worth their own visits as well.

Whether you want to pretend to be Frasier and peruse the light opera scene and high-end coffee shops, or just enjoy a modern, nature-tinged city at its best, there’s plenty here to keep you going, and plenty in the way of motivational caffeine stops, too.

You can also jump on Hwy 16 from I-5 in Tacoma and head over the new toll bridge to see sites on the Kitsap Peninsula.

        • Very easy to find my terminal for the next flight. The signs were easy to read although the flight reader board would change too fast and would lose sight of my flight before reading the gate number. The food selection there is massive and the live music is great. Plenty to look at on a long lay over.
        • Nice airport well organized so you can get to your flight on time. It has some good stores and restaurants. You can relax at the food court. The best you can do is take public transportation it drops you off at the door like the link or a bus.
        • I loved that when I get on the planes they are so friendly nice and kind and if like you need something they come right there and they don't just be rude they will use their manners to see what u are needing. Just keep in mind if you want someone to be nice to you, you would have to be nice so that they will accept u whenever u were talking...
        • Overwhelmingly crowded. Good food options. Fairly clean. Very large signs made it easier to find my gate. Interesting modern interior designs. Friendly service.
        • First time through SeaTac and I was disappointed. Security screening was shoehorned in. The facility was tired and run down. Not what you would expect from a vibrant city like Seattle. That said ... the facility functioned as it should. You check in. You wait. You fly. Pretty much like any other airport.
