  GO BEFORE IT IS GONE!!!! The hustle and bustle and the FISH of every type and size is a big fat 'wow'. You can also grab some VERY FRESH sushi in the surrounding restaurants. BE CAREFUL of the the ZIPPY mini truck things. THEY MEAN BUSINESS and they will mow you down. Also film surreptitiously a lot of the vendors don't want you taking pix. You can't enter the main bit until after 9 or 10 so unless you are doing the 'go at 2AM to see if you can get into the Tuna Auction then sleep in. There will still be stuff to see. WEAR sensible shoes and know that you will be stepping on fish guts.

  This fish market is obviously one of the most famous attractions in Japan. If you're able to get up super early you can see the fish auction of the Tunas. The market will be closing at the end of this year and move to a new site. I highly recommend you check it out before it's gone forever. This Market has been here for over 300 years. If you can't make it in time to go see the auction, don't worry there's plenty to see it's an amazing place. Don't forget to bring your appetite though as you will find some of the most amazing sushi and sashimi in the world. You can't beat the prices either.

  My favourite thing after the stimulation overload that is this market is finding cool little pockets. Honestly, I have missed the auction, for 9 years, over 15 visits to this spot but I always manage to find a cool little coffee shop or a little hole in the wall restaurant. The food is all quality here. I haven't had a bad meal ever. The prices are good too. Please be sensitive to the fact that this is a workplace for many people. Be respectful. Don't Logan Paul the place. But really guys, find the small places with no line ups. it's a great "explorer" gateway. Get out of the comfort zone. It's safe here.

  One of my favorite place in Tokyo.. Best place to try authentic and local food in Tokyo.. If you are planning to bring home food from Japan, especially dried ones, you should come here.. There are also some live cooking that are interesting to see.. The market is easy to find and is near a subway station.

  If you visit Tokyo, you must visit the world famous Tsukiji fish market. Come before dawn to see the notorious auction or come later in the morning to stroll through the market where you can sample and buy a variety of foods. There are some nooks where you can find small restaurant counters to have lunch. The market is typically very busy so be prepared for large crowds. It's also closed on Sundays so plan accordingly.
