Users Assigned: KazmiPalm Springs, CA has soemthing for everyone. Whether you are a person who likes to golf, shop, hike or just experience the culture you will find that here. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 42,807. Flights are also available from the Palm Springs International Airport.
Palm Springs is sheltered by the Little San Bernardino Mountains to the north, the Santa Rosa Mountains to the south, and the San Jacinto Mountains to the west. Palm Springs is like a wonderful oasis in a warm desertlike area.
You can drive out to Palm Canyon Drive and shop their eclectic shopping district. Or for the hiker in you you can take the Palm Springs Ariel Tram to the to top of San Jacinto National Park and go hiking in the snow capped mountains. Or if you are a gambler you can check out one of the casinos of Spa Resort Casino, Agua Caliente Casino, or Agua Caliente Tribal.
There are also many interesting places to eat...not only local eateries at Las Casuelas Terraza has been serving authentic Mexican food since first opening its doors on Palm Springs’ historic Palm Canyon Drive in 1979. But also in fast food joints such as In and Out Burger and Carl Jr.s
