  St. Gallen is the capital of the canton of St. Gallen in Switzerland.
  
  It is the largest town in easter Switzerland (with around 160,000 inhabitants). The main tourist attraction is the Abbey of St. Gall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its renowned library contains books which date to the 9th century.
  
  St. Gallen is situated in the north-eastern part of Switzerland in a valley around 700 meters above sea level. It is one of the highest cities in Switzerland and it can receive a lot of snow in winter. The town is nicely situated between Lake Constance and the mountains of the Appenzell Alps (with the Säntis as the highest peak at 2502 meters). It therefore offers excellent recreation areas nearby.

• Liechtenstein

  Most recently in the spotlight due to the tax-haven nature of the country and the resulting controversies between itself and the United States, Liechtenstein is a tiny Alpine country sandwiched between Switzerland and Austria. While an independent state, it has close ties to Switzerland, and is considered the last remnant of the old Holy Roman Empire. The country has an exceptionally high standard of living and features some of the most amazing mountain scenery on the planet, with its capital of Vaduz being a major center of international banking and commerce for tax haven individuals from all sorts of countries.
  
  Liechtenstein is known for its natural beauty, and rightfully so. There are literally dozens of medieval castles, cathedrals, and Gothic remnants scattered throughout the countryside, and the mountains within the country are quite possibly the most stunning ever seen. Accommodations and transportation are the highest standard, but are also exceptionally pricey. The country boasts one of the highest personal income rates in the world, and it has become known as a tax haven over the years, with over one-third of the population being made up of foreigners, and the country is constantly working on keeping its relations with the European Union at the highest level.
  
  Due to the relative smallness of the country, and the fact that most of the population lives within the Rhine Valley, it's fairly easy to see most of Liechtenstein during just one trip. Most people coming here are doing so for one of two reasons: to take advantage of the tax haven status or to explore the mountainous countryside. There are literally dozens of hiking and biking trails, and some of the best mountain biking terrain in the world. Overall, the country feels fairly Swiss, which is natural given its close ties to Switzerland. In fact, there is no airport within Liechtenstein, with the closest being in Zurich, so getting here means you will probably be doing so from its neighbor in the first place.

  The hotel Lippbrandt is very well run. I felt during my stay very well. The breakfast buffet is also highly recommended. Das Hotel Lippbrandt ist sehr gut geführt. Ich habe mich während meines Aufenthalts sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen.

  Was to Friday for 4 nights at this hotel and I must say, was delighted. The single room was just right, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and varied. I had only booked bed and breakfast because I also wanted to eat outside. The first night I was a bit disappointed about the food. I did not want a 3 course meal and I only ordered a main course and found the portion too small for the money (€ 21.90), therefore, a star less given. One other evening, I have a 3 course dinner (daily menu) selected for € 30.90 and the food has excellent taste .... the spa is small but nice and clean. return 'd .... War bis Freitag für 4 Nächte in diesem Hotel und ich muss sagen, war begeistert. Das Einzelzimmer war genau richtig, sauber und komfortabel. Frühstück war sehr gut und abwechslungsreich. Ich hatte nur ÜF gebucht weil ich auch außerhalb essen wollte. Der erster Abend war ich ein bisschen über das essen enttäuscht. Ich wollte keinen 3 Gang Menu und hab nur einen Hauptgang bestellt und fand die Portion einfach zu klein für das Geld (21,90€) deshalb ein Stern weniger gegeben. Ein anderen Abend, hab ich einen 3 Gang Menü (Tagesmenü) für 30,90€ ausgewählt und das Essen hat hervorragend geschmeckt....der Wellnessbereich ist klein aber schön und sauber. Würd wiederkommen....

  Looking for a rather smaller spa hotel away from the big wellness temples we opted for the Hotel Lipprandt and not this regret. Here you get for little money sometimes more even more power. The spa is small but nice and during our visit time we were the only users. The treatments were very good, although the room was rather small. Electric cars can not be charged directly at the hotel, in the village but hats a charging station. We will come back. Auf der Suche nach einem eher kleineren Wellnesshotel abseits der grossen Wellnesstempeln haben wir uns für das Hotel Lipprandt entschieden und dies nicht bereut. Hier kriegt man für wenig Geld teilweise mehr sogar mehr Leistung. Der Wellnessbereich ist klein aber fein und während unserer Besuchszeit waren wir die einzigen Benutzer. Auch die Behandlungen waren sehr gut, auch wenn der Raum eher klein war. Elektroautos können nicht direkt beim Hotel aufgeladen werden, im Dörfchen hats aber eine Stromtankstelle. Wir werden wieder kommen.
