• Redondo Beach

  This is a beach community along the southern California coastline. The Pacific ocean is the western neighbor and thus there are many surfing beaches, even though the waves are not very big. Summer temperatures are generally into the eighties daytime and fifties in the evening with a breeze off the ocean beginning in mid afternoon. Winter temperatures drop to only the forties and fifties daytime and the mid forties in the evening.
  
  Pacific Coast Highway runs through Redondo Beach. Housing costs are quite high in this beach community and especially near the beach you will find multi-story apartments and condominiums. The main parts of town are old by California standards, being built in the early 20th century. You will find this to be mainly a residential community.
  
  Redondo Beach has a wonderful pier to enjoy walking, fishing or just people watching. Best part of the pier, it's not the normal straight out into the water pier. It triangles with restaurants situated on the pier. It also has an arcade... but the best part of this pier is during crab season when you can purchase crabs or lobsters from the dozens of tanks and just pig out!!

• Marina del Rey

  Located on the Pacific coast southwest of Los Angeles. It's between Venice beach and Playa del Rey. LAX is easy access to this city - located approximately 4-5 miles from it.
  
  This city has many hip and up and coming restaurants and bars, and it is centrally located that you can walk to most of the Hotels, Bars, Restaurants and Venice Beach - known for Muscle Beach.
  
  Make sure to hit up the free concerts on Sunday afternoons in MDR, and also to hang out at the beautiful Marriott for a drink.
  
  Marina del Rey is also known for their Marina and it is usually filled with many small boats. There are many things to do here not only in the water, but also out of the water. Clubs, restaurants, bars, shopping as well as recreational paths and trails.

• Venice Beach

  Venice Beach, is situated between Santa Monica to the North, and Marina Del Ray to the South. Beside the board-walk you will find many unusual and intriguing shops, bars, cafes, street entertainers and sports facilities.
  
  These intriguing places attract intriguing people, and all manner of eccentric characters can be found, along with roller-bladers, cyclists, skateboarders and casual sightseers.
  
  Venice Beach accommodates many sports. Paddle tennis courts, basketball courts, a skatepark, and of course Muscle Beach, an outdoor gym, all attract participants and spectators alike.
  
  Featured in many movies it was also home to The Doors frontman, Jim Morrison, and his mural can be found painted on the side of his home.

  This hotel wasn't quite what we expected from the pictures online, however, it wasn't terrible either. We checked in and informed the clerk we were on our honeymoon. Unfortunately she didn't have anything available to upgrade us to. The room was much smaller than we expected and didn't have a great view either, however it was clean. The breakfast that they offered was very small as well. It consisted of juice milk coffee bagels and muffins basically. There was no protein offered which was a disappointment. It also wasn't available one day during our stay due to renovations the hotel was doing and no discount was offered for the inconvenience. The staff was very friendly and helpful however and also complimented our parking for free since it was our honeymoon. I would recommend this hotel and stay again.

  Me and my husband spent our anniversary here, it was during construction and we were well aware at the time since it did mention it on their website but it did not get in the way of our stay, the rooms were lovely it looked updated and clean, the bed was heaven, , there continental breakfast was satisfying, the location was good and the staff were welcoming and sweet. I look forward to staying again and recommend this hotel highly.

  My husband and I stayed here last month. We flew in from Louisiana to meet my biological father and siblings. Rented a loft type room for 4 nights with and upstairs and downstairs. The hotel was very beautiful it looked recently remodeled and we were very impressed. We stayed the night and woke up the next morning left for ONLY TWO HOURS to tour the town and beach area, came back to find that our entire luggage and every single item we had brought him with us Besides our toothbrushes was gone. The maid service had came and cleaned our room leaving us with nothing. The towels were replaced, the beds were made, but all of our things were gone. I immediately called management and the police and after a month of investigating the police told me that because they do not have cameras on the floors of the rooms it would take a while to investigate. Come to find out they only have cameras at all exits except the fire escape exit which only their help would know that. The simple fact that there's no cameras in the hallways protecting our property and who comes in and out of our rooms is just insane. We did find out though that in the two hours were gone the only people that had access to our rooms were there maid service by using their key cards. But because it's not on camera there's nothing else they can do about it. Sounds like a awesome place to work if you're a thief right!?!? Well it's been a month now and I'm still dealing with their insurance company who is now telling me that unless their employees confess there's prob not going to settle up with us in anyway shape or form, Due to the lack of cameras and evidence proving their maids stole the items and not just another resident that was staying there even though it was confirmed that their maids key cards were the only cards used while we were gone!! But mind you I got a full apology because they clearly saw the cameras of us coming in with our property and never once leaving with it!!! I must say you really have to have some balls to steal from a US solider!! Not only did they steal my items they stole my army duffel bag with all my items in that. That alone is just disgusting. So just a little tip for anyone staying here. The rooms are really nice but if you like your stuff, and value your belongings either pack up everything every time you leave that room and take it with you, or set up your own nanny cams in there so that you can prove what's missing and who took it because this hotel cares not to do that for you. Judging by the lack of cameras or care after the fact. Instead of spending a relaxing week meeting my family I spent the Next two days in California replacing everything that was stolen including luggage, socks, underwear, shoes, shirts, and hair and make up accessories. Not a way to spend an already expensive trip!! Still waiting on hotel Hermossa to confirm that they are not going to make things right... but if that is the case I promise I will be contacting my attorney!

  Stayed in the loft and the walls are pretty thin. Can hear the next door tv as if it is in my room. Clean hotel and bed is ok. The loft has up stairs windows that do not have drapes and morning sun shines right at the bed.
