      • Shower was fairly small, and the heater didn't work well. When we got into the room it was about 60 degrees, but the thermostat was set to 70. As well, in the shower the water would have spurts of cold water while the rest of the time it was warm, which was fairly unpleasant. However, it had a working bed, TV, and fridge, so it was acceptable, but also not worth the price.
      • This hotel does not exactly have the most trustworthy patrons hanging around outside. I literally watched three drug deals (crazy crack-heads) happen directly in front of me. Two out of one of the rooms. Won't be staying here again. Hotel rooms are clean and well kept though and they will turn on the heat if it's cold and you pre-book.
      • Accommodations are all that you need. They recently updated the front office a bit. Location is awesome. Right across from the Doug Fir, walking distance to Burnside Brewing and lots of other good eats.
      • Wonderful hotel! The staff is extremely friendly and accomodating. They offered to get us a first floor room with a tub when they saw we were traveling with a baby. The woman at the front desk gave us wonderful recommendations on places to eat and where to visit. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are visiting Portland!
      • I stayed here for two nights with my husband and toddler. We were a little anxious about the hotel because it was drastically more affordable than every other hotel in the area. We shouldn't have been anxious! When we checked in the woman helping us was courteous enough to put us on the first floor to make it easier with our daughter, which I appreciated. The carpet, drapes, furniture in the room were all updated - the only "dated" item in the room was the bedspread, which, who cares? The closet area was also the perfect place to put a pack n play (which they provided, but bring your own sheet as they did not have that). There is a large mini fridge and microwave in the room as well. The bathroom was small, and the fixtures in the shower weren't in great shape, but everything was worked just fine. Again, for like $100-$200 less per night than other hotels (if not more) I am MORE than happy to shower in a small bathroom. The location is great and it was very easy to get everywhere we needed to go on foot or streetcar. We would absolutely stay here again if we were to return to Portland.
