The Cliffs of Moher are one of Ireland's top Visitor attractions. The Cliffs are 214m high at the highest point and range for 8 kilometers over the Atlantic Ocean on the western seaboard of County Clare. O'Brien's Tower stands proudly on a headland of the majestic Cliffs. From the Cliffs one can see the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, as well as The Twelve Pins, the Maum Turk Mountains in Connemara and Loop Head to the South.

The Cliffs of Moher are home to one of the major colonies of cliff nesting seabirds in Ireland. The area was designated as a Refuge for Fauna in 1988 and as a Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA) under the EU Birds Directive in 1989. Included within the designated site are the cliffs, the cliff-top maritime grassland and heath, and a 200 meter zone of open water, directly in front of the cliffs to protect part of the birds' feeding area. The designation covers 200 hectares and highlights the area's importance for wildlife.

Doolin is a charming small seaside village on the northwest coast of County Clare. Once a traditional fisihing village it is now a more noted as a center for traditional music and a surfing destination.

Doolin has plenty to offer the traveller. The Cliffs of Moher, the Burren and plenty of scenic walks. It offers a wide range of quality accommodation to suit all budgets, restaurants offer fine foods with local seafood a specialty, and pubs that feature traditional music sessions nightly.

      • Galway
A city that revels in its Gaelic traditions and has long been known as the “City of the Tribes”, Galway is the third largest town in Ireland, and probably the most important city when it comes to visiting West Ireland. This is bohemian Ireland at its finest moment, and between the legendary nightlife with plenty of pubs to crawl and the world-famous Irish brews and whiskey to the beauty of the surrounding countryside, there is no match for what Galway can offer the adventurer coming into her domain. Beyond the food, the brews, and the vibrant entertainment districts of the city itself, West Ireland is known for its exceptional beauty, and Galway is the perfect headquarters for experience the entire region up close and personal.

From the towering spires of the National University of Ireland to walking around the harbor or through Eyre Square, visitors to the city have a wide variety of things to see and do within the city itself. There are several cathedrals and churches, as well as the Galway City Museum, and there are dozens of cultural festivals that happen throughout the summer months. There is also a major theatrical presence in the city, with production teams like the Druid Theater Company—known for its Irish language productions and Gaelic themes—known around the world for their artistic talent.

However, getting out into the countryside is arguably one of the major reasons to come here, and you can either take day trips to places like The Burren,The Cliffs, or Moher, or you can simply rent a car and go further into the surrounding hills and valleys. This is also a great place for cycling and hiking, and with sights like the ocean cliffs and the banks of the River Corrib snaking through the countryside, it’s very easy to find yourself losing a few weeks of time to this delicious little Irish town.

        • Brilliant place to visit. I had a wonderful time on my visit to the Cliffs Of Moher. It has great car and bus parking, toilet and restaurant facilities. It cost €8 for an adult but children go free. The views are stunning, the cliffs high, really high. Every where I looked someone was on the cliff edge taking photos and it clearly looked unsafe. There are two nice climbs along the cliffs, one to the right and the other to the left and its suitable for anyone who is fit. I dont think its the kind of place I would bring children but many other people there would disagree. Its difficult to get an unique photo from the normal cliff top positions but at least you get home safe. I though it was great value for money. Its a great day out and for a once off event, you will be glad you made the visit. If its very windy, stay well away from the edges. Enjoy
        • Absolute joy to visit this place. Amazing landscape, beautiful scenery, breath taking views, relatively easy walk up on the track. Plenty of parking space and all sorts of facilities. Very strong gusts of wind at some points, can really knock you off. Would love to revisit this beauty.
        • Perfection. This is the quintessence of nature. The views are amazing. Plenty of things to see. A great walk on the cliff edge will have you feeling like your on the edge of the world. This is a great wonder of he world and it is a must see before you die. Admission is 6€ per adult. Plenty of parking. The visitor center was helpful with any problems.
        • Another must see if you’re visiting Ireland. The views beautiful and relaxing. The Hill going up is very steep, but you’ll be glad that you walked up once you get up to the viewing area. I highly recommend walking both ends of the cliff.
        • My absolute favorite part of our trip to Ireland. The cliffs are amazing and the hiking available is so fun and rather easy. I would definitely come back and spend more time here if I were to visit Ireland again
