Users Assigned: redplanettravelbossYou should also wrap up warm for Japan’s Chichibu night festival on December 2nd and 3rd. This small town near Tokyo hosts Yomatsuri or night festival dating back to more than 300 years.
There are fireworks, street entertainers and musicians as well as food stalls serving hot Amazake.
The highlight is an evening parade which leaves the Chichibu shrine at 7 pm, six gigantic floats decorated with painted carvings and flowers illuminated by lanterns and accompanied by drummers.
