  Abu Dhabi is the federal capital centre of the United Arab Emirates and among the most modern cities in the world. The city is a T-shaped island on the Persian Gulf. By far, it is the largest and the richest emirate occupying up to 87% of the country’s total area. Abu Dhabi is an orderly, industrious city endowed with several beaches.

  Since the discovery of oil in the city, there has been rapid growth and development in Abu Dhabi. A lot of investments have been made in the domains of economy, culture and environmental conservation. 50 years ago, the city was a mere fishing village with a fort, a few barasti huts and coral buildings. The city is characterized by futuristic buildings and several state-of-the-art tourist hotels and resorts, attracting tourists from all over the world. Today, Abu Dhabi is a modern city serving as government and business center. The city was designed by Dr Takahashi, a Japanese architect, and was established by Sheikh Zayed.

  With over 145 hotels, tourists have the pleasure of choosing from an array of accommodation facilities ranging from spectacular beach resorts on the great Abu Dhabi’s glittering coastline to stunning islands, hotels and desert tourist hotels.

  While the international press would have you believing Dubai’s cornered the market on local luxury, Abu Dhabi’s coming up fast on the outside: it might not (quite) be Dubai, but Abu Dhabi is still a destination where you’d best be carrying a wallet full of hefty notes. If you can afford it, though, you’re in for a treat.

• Corniche Beach

  The cornice beach is located at the heart of the city of Abu Dhabi. beach has an award on Blue Fag status, an eco-label that guarantees clean swimming water.
  
  Beach hotels and resorts are some of the facilities available on this beach. The Corniche beach is a 2 kilometer stretch divided into three sections; gate 2 for families and a quiet zone, gate 3 is for families and children and gate 4 is for singles and groups.
  
  Gate 2 and gate 3 beaches are shielded from view by a fence. At the beach, Sun loungers are available at Dhs 25 while towels are rented at Dhs 10.
  
  Changing rooms, showers and cabanas are also available at the beach.

• Emirates Heritage Club Heritage Village - نادي تراث الإمارات - القرية التراثية

  Abu Dhabi heritage village is an important cultural attraction in Abu Dhabi. The village is a reconstruction of traditional oasis village operated by the Emirates Heritage Club.
  
  Tourists visiting the village get a glimpse of traditional aspects of the desert way of life. Traditional skills on metal work, pottery among others are displayed in workshops. Craftsmen share their skills in the workshops.
  
  There are several artisans showcasing traditional local arts such as glass blowing and weaving.
  
  Traditional attires are available on the display. Traditional weapons, jewellery and Holy Qurans are also available on the display.

  The staying in the Beach Rotana was very pleasant and enjoyable for us. We liked the location very much. The service people everywhere were very nice and polite. We liked the dinner very much.

  Excellent location; conveniently located in the city with access to Abu Dhabi Mall and private beach. Hotel facilities and restuarants will not disappoint you! Gym are well equipped and maintenanced. Staff are friendly and helpful. It's been a pleasure stay.

  Good in general and there is direct access to Abu Dhabi mall from the hotel. Beach area is fair and pool is big and temperature controlled. Staff is also nice and helpful. I would have given 5 stars except that I was really annoyed with valet service, I didn't leave the hotel for my whole stay and when I checked out I found the right side of my car full of dents and scratches, when I expressed my concern the valet staff then just told me to go complain to the manager. Try to self park your car and take a careful look because their valet staff are really careless about other people properties.

  Waiting for more than 2 hours to check-in. That's really bad.. Still don't know what I am gonna face during my stay so please don't take my note as a final. Things could be changed to the best
