Watch the US Olympic team train, spend an afternoon at the bottom of a 1000ft gold mine or explore the incredible trails of Pike’s Peak. Sleep it off in a satisfied, energy-drained slumber and then do the same again the next day: what more could you ask for from a stunning, adventure-ridden region?
  
  If you want a taste of how things used to be, pass on the museums and head for Buckskin Joe’s frontier town instead, where the main street descends into gunfight at regular intervals, and you can end the day with a scenic train ride through the pines. Next up, drop in on the sharp pinnacles of the Garden of the Gods, where craggy spikes pierce the skyline, or dance amongst the Manitou Cave Dwellings with the Native Americans, exploring an old and long forgotten lifestyle.
  
  The hair-raising vertical shaft of the Mollie Kathleen gold mine is another one of the seemingly endless must sees, still tinged with gold inside and layered with impressive history.   Colorado is all about the scenery, and in the Colorado Springs area it really is exceptional, the kind of place where it’s tempting to throw on a rucksack and drift off into the landscape for weeks at a time.   Not really applicable. My friend lives at the Sattelite. I was going to visit him. Its always nice and warm and friendly when I go though.

  Very clean, modest and comfortable. Brandalyn at the front desk was very friendly and helpful with a TV connection problem. Quick response and solved the problem. We would definitely stay there again when we travel to Colorado Springs.

  If I could give this 'hotel' 0 stars, I would. Horrible customer service. Not friendly people at all. When you wave or smile at the front desk associate, they don't even acknowledge you. In the 4 days that my family and I stayed, we had to be evacuated 2 days in a row because the fire alarms went off. There was fire trucks and police there for 2 days in a row, not to mention this happened at night when we were trying to get the kids to sleep. This place looks straight out of the 80's. It smells awful, like cigarettes and cleaning supplies. The elevators smell of marijuana. The rooms and the rest of the place is completely outdated. The mini-fridge in my room did not even work. The housekeeping only comes once a week and you have to take your trash out by yourself. Be prepared for staff members to 'accidentally' unlock your door and walk in your room a few times during your stay. There was hairs in the bathtub when I arrived. The heater was not working properly so my room got down to 55 degrees. The "breakfast buffet" consisted of two very small tubs of cold eggs and cold gravy in the corner of the run down restaurant. This place needs some serious work. Definitely would NOT recommend anyone to stay here unless you absolutely had to. Definitely not worth the money. Will not be staying here ever again.
