From the Victorian architecture to the notoriously steep inclines to the Pacific coastline and the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco is one of the oldest, most beautiful, and amazing cities in California, and definitely the world. Sourdough bread, the piers, the seafood and California culture all combine into a city that is almost a culture until itself apart from the rest of the United States. Bay Area is the city that has been a most important player since the period of Gold Rush. Bay Area is also known for its earthquakes and the central city of San Francisco. It’s also famous for its hippies, transgender communities and most liberal places on the earth.
San Francisco can be broken down into a variety of districts, each with their own very unique culture and feel. Probably the most famous are Golden Gate, Nob Hill, Fisherman’s Wharf, Chinatown, and Union Square, but there are many others as well. Depending on what you want to experience while in the city, you will want to head to the various regions and immerse yourself in the counterculture that each one represents.
There’s a lot to see and do in San Francisco. If seafood is what you are after, then you’ve come to the right place. Sushi is almost a staple food throughout the city, as is Chinese food, and fresh seafood is constantly on the menu. There are also a ton of microbreweries, not to mention world-famous bakeries. But there are also sports venues like the San Francisco 49ers or performing arts to be seen at places like the Fillmore Auditorium.Head out on a harbor tour and visit the island of Alcatraz, or simply spend your time wandering the streets enjoying the beauty of the surrounding city. Either way you are bound to find yourself wandering into something that will not only amaze you but leave you wondering if perhaps you might be due for a move to a new city.

Internet was good: 13 Mbps down and 9.5 up. The Motel Capri is in a great location with a beautiful neon sign and updated rooms. We enjoyed the funky green bathroom. The elevator took a few attempts before it arrived and the attendant at the front desk had to unlock the luggage cart but we got everything to our room fairly easily. The parking spots are small but it's easy to get in and out of the open lot. It was a Friday night but street noise in the area didn't bother us. Breakfast is very basic and seating is minimal but it seemed like most guests opted for something else. The hotel was mostly full and only one other family was in the lobby when we ate. Overall a memorable and enjoyable stay and very affordable.

The outside isn't much of a looker and they need more parking spots but the room seemed to be recently remodeled and was quite spacious and clean. The beds were fine for the night. I would definitely stay here again.

They were very accommodating. Their free breakfast was good. The rooms were pretty clean. Ours had gnats in the shower but they didn't bother us. Other than that, the room was clean and the staff was friendly.

Just visited a friend but the room seemed very nice and the everything was pretty tame on a Saturday night so you won't be kept up or anything. Great restaurants and bars nearby.

Ok, SUPER WEIRD experience here. The inside of the room is nice, relatively clean (if a bit dated), but the staff was SO STRANGE! Parking was tight, and one of the staff members parked behind my car, blocking me in. No big deal, I wasn't going anywhere right away. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a procedure at St. Francis Memorial Hospital, and we needed to check in the next day by 5am. So 4:30am rolls around, and that guy is STILL PARKED BEHIND ME. I get to the main office, ring the bell, and he stumbles out and just kind of stares. "Can you please move your car, I need to get out, it's important." I say. But he tells me he can't drive! Dude parked it there in the first place! So he hands me the keys to his car, and tells ME to do it! Time was ticking, and after a little arguing I just resigned and did the whole thing for him. What an asshat. Not staying here again.
