• Fort Worth

  If two cities were ever more opposite it would be Fort Worth and Dallas, however together they provide the perfect combination of style and arts to please everyone. Fort Worth, also known as "Cow-Town" to the natives, is Dallas' artsy-er half. Here you will almost always find live music downtown in Sundance Square, and artists from all over the south come to set up a stand and sell their creations. The laid back culture and fairly small downtown area allows you to walk from bar to bar and sometimes you will see more people standing around outside the bars listening to the music in the streets. This is what really gives the charm to the city, and is one of the beneifts to Fort Worth that D town can't provide.
  
  To really experience some true Texas country, visit the Fort Worth stock yards, just watch out for the "Cow Patties," or sit on the patio at the famous Joe T. Garcia's Mexican restaurant.
  Other notables, Bass performance hall, the modern museum,the water gardens, and the Fort worth zoo that is consistently rated in the top 5 in the US.
  
  Dallas has many professional sports teams, but Fort Worth has it's own collection of minor league teams.
  
  Fort Worth is my favorite over Dallas. Dallas has traffic jams that get real bad. They have one 4 mile stretch on interstate where all the interstates combine for a large mess. One of the interstates jams up and it causes all the interstates to lock up. It seems that none of the interstates are continuous where you have to exit to another road then later exit to the same interstate. No thanks to Dallas.
  Fort Worth has less traffic, but smaller traffic to jam up for a while.
  Fort Worth is much more laid back and a better place to live.

• Grapevine

  Grapevine is a city located in Tarrant and Dallas counties. The city is part of the Dallas Fort Worth Statistical Area and its city limits are mostly within the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, neighboring cities such as Irving and Coppell.
  
  In recent years several wineries have opened in Grapevine, and the city has been very active in maintaining its historic downtown corridor. It has become known for its small local boutiques, wine shops, and street festivals. The city is adjacent to Grapevine Lake, a large reservoir impounded by the Army Corps of Engineers in 1952 and serves as both a source of water and recreational area. Part of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is located within Grapevine city limits, the largest portion of any municipality bordering the facility. In 2007 CNNMoney rated Grapevine as one of "America's Best Places to Live."

  Irving is a suburb, west of Dallas, and is most famous for being the home of Texas Stadium, where the Dallas Cowboys play.
  
  Irving has become a powerhouse for industrial business and lower-end commerce. You can find many imports from various locations, unfinished antiques, and about a million types of household items. Big business is slowly moving into Irving bringing with it jobs, restaurants, and housing opportunities. Irving is centrally located on several freeways which lead right into Dallas.

  This hotel is disgusting! As soon as you walk in, it stinks! Smells like smoke and other smells. Maid service is highly rude and willing to run you over rather than show you any respect. The front desk staff was great in giving us our refund and was very kind about the situation. The hallway floors are nasty, filled with trash and stains. The rooms are even worse. While they have nice and up to date furniture, there was food caked onto the table and also the mirror above the table, there was unknown substances caked onto the bathroom sink. The floor was not swept. The elevator was also nasty and looked as if it hadn't been swept in who knows how long. Multiple sites said there was an outdoor pool and there is not. Overall we are very disappointed but the front desk was very helpful and very understanding.

  During the night the toilet gargled. In the morning, the shower wouldn’t drain so it flooded out of the bathroom and into the bedroom. I couldn’t finish my shower. I told the employee who’s only response was that maintain doesn’t come in until 10am. Told the employee I couldn’t finish my shower. He handed me a room key. I had to pick up my shampoo, conditioner, towel, and razor to move to a room to just shower in!! The room we stayed in also had no phone or hair dryer. I’m guessing they must have known that room was messed up and took us for suckers.

  Very nice place. friendly staff, clean, nice wifi. Not noisy. It would be nice if they had a monthly rate. That would be so awesome. respectful cleaning crew

  It was the nastiest motel I have ever stayed in! The room had caked up filth along the baseboards, the toilet leaked all over the floor, the shower curtain was stained, dirty and torn. The curtains had holes in them. The blankets were stained. The hallways and coffee area was dirty. The elevator needs inspected, the phone in elevator was torn out. If I wasn’t so busy going back and forth from hospital, I would have asked for a full refund and found a different hotel! After that stay, I deserve a full refund and someone needs to inspect that hotel!!!!

  We had to vacate our apartment because of pest control. We spent 2 nights here rather than putting our dog in a kennel. It worked well for our purposes. The room was clean but the beds were not the most comfortable we've experienced and the phone in our room was not working. Being handicapped, I really appreciated the elevator. The staff was pleasant and served Community coffee in the morning. If we need to do something like this again, we will return.
