Situated on the southwestern shore of Lake Michigan and long known as one of the developing centers of America , Milwaukee has exhausted a major amount of money in the past decade to include major additions to the city in hopes of diversifying its reputation and proving it has more to offer than just beer. Milwaukee zoo is another great attraction, with all different types of animals. Projects like the Milwaukee Riverwalk, which is a continuous pedestrian walkway that follows the Milwaukee River through downtown Milwaukee, or the art museum based in Milwaukee has told that the metropolis holds a huge arrogance in the natural beauty of its environment as well as protecting the cultural aspects of the city for future generations. It is also home to the headquarters for Harley-Davidson, and at one point in time was the largest beer-producing city in the world with breweries for Schlitz, Blatz, Pabst, and Miller all located within its domain.

Outside of the beer and the motorcycles, Milwaukee actually advertises itself as the “city of festivals” due to the many annual festivals that occur, specifically Summerfest on the shores of Lake Michigan every summer. The city itself boasts a broad array of architectural wonders, from the Hoan Bridge to the Milwaukee City Hall to The Domes that house the city’s horticultural Gardens, including a desert habitat and a rainforest. The old Pabst Brewery Complex has long stood as a remnant of the old days, but is currently under renovation to become a variety of restaurants, entertainment venues, houses and offices.

Milwaukee also boasts several sports teams, most prominently the Milwaukee Brewers and the Milwaukee Bucks. The city also boasts one of the best public parks system in the country, including Cathedral Square Park and Veteran’s Park, as well as McKinley Park which doubles as a Marina, and Lake Park, designed by the same man who built Central Park in New York City. Between the lake, the museums, the breweries, and the natural beauty, Milwaukee could be considered one of the ultimate destinations in the United States for simple enjoyment and relaxation.
