• West Palm Beach

  West Palm Beach is the largest city in Palm Beach County, the northernmost of the tri-county area that makes up South Florida (the other two being Broward County and Miami-Dade County). It's one of the principal cities in the region, but with a population of only about 100,000 people, it's sometimes overlooked for its larger southern neighbors - Fort Lauderdale and Miami. Still, the city strives to be just as notable without sacrificing it's mid-sized charm.
  
  Florida's Turnpike and Interstate 95 provide easy access to the east and west areas of the city. Looking to fly in? Most major domestic and various foreign airports offer flights to Palm Beach International Airport, not far from the heart of the city. Visitors here relax on the beach (which is actually on the opulent island of neighboring Palm Beach), encounter animals at the Palm Beach Zoo and Lion Country Safari, gaze at art at the Norton Museum, take in shows at the Kravis Center or the Improv comedy club, and shop, dine and club at the CityPlace entertainment complex and Clematis Street.
  
  Wealthier tourists head across the Intracoastal Waterway to Palm Beach for ultra posh hotels like The Breakers and The Four Seasons, and to spend big bucks on Worth Avenue, considered the Rodeo Drive of the east with big name stores like Chanel, Armani, Gucci and more.
  
  In short, West Palm Beach offers much of what Fort Lauderdale and Miami do, but with less traffic.

• Boca Raton

  Boca Raton is a peaceful, affluent community on the southeast coast of Florida, about half an hour from Ft. Lauderdale and a little over an hour from Miami. It is famous for its pink and yellow colored buildings.
  
  Boca Raton is bordered by the ocean on the east (and route A1A), and the Everglades national park (route 441) on the west.
  
  For many years Boca Raton was considered to be only a community for "snowbirds", that is to say either retirees or northerners who visit/live down south during the winter. However, Boca Raton has recently become a much more diversified family community. There is great opportunity for shopping, eating, and entertainment.

• Pompano Beach

  Located in the heart of Florida's Gold Coast the City of Pompano Beach is the year round home to 104,402 residents. During season (September through March) the number swells to nearly 150,000 as part-time residents from more inclement environments join us for "fun in the sun". As the name implies (Pompano - a species of in-shore -tropical game fish) the fun includes some of the world's best sport fishing.
  
  Golfers find living or vacationing in Pompano Beach a dream come true, with some of the world's most beautiful and challenging links just a short drive away. It is said that a golfer could play a different course every day and still not tee off on all the links within 30 minutes of Pompano Beach. If your "fun" is spectator oriented, our City offers horse racing at the world famous Pompano Harness Track. If you are a team sports fan, then Pompano Beach is the place to be. Baseball fans have it both ways with the Florida Marlins calling nearby Pro Player Stadium. Football fans can watch the Miami Dolphins host the NFL's best, while if you like to do your spectating in-doors, hockey and basketball fans are only minutes from the home arenas of the Miami Heat and Florida Panthers.
  
  For a more laid-back approach. Pompano Beach, as the name implies, offers miles of beautiful beach, lapped by the warm waters of the Gulf Stream. Here you can kick back watch the surf, watch the people, or look for the Goodyear blimp that calls Pompano Beach its home.
