We stayed at the Pelican Grand once. Lovely hotel,. loved the traditional Grand long porch with all those rocking chairs, overlooking the ocean and the lazy river was nice.

But the beach was very narrow, and the hotel it'self a lot farther from the port than we anticipated.

There are some beautiful hotels, on the huge gorgeous Hollywood Beach, which is still a distance but not as far.

Just going south, instead of north. of the port.
