Jordan National Gallery of fine arts is another interesting site found in Amman. It is small but really an impressive and wonderful place where one can gain an appreciation of contemporary Jordanian pottery, sculpture and painting.

The temporary exhibitions that are found here are of high quality and they serve as a good introduction to those that are new to the world of Islamic art.

The Jordan national gallery of fine arts is housed in two buildings that are separated by a small park that hosts very interesting sculpture.

The first building which is on the Northern side of the park is the one that is smaller and holds temporary exhibitions. The second building which is on the opposite side contains the ticket office, a café on the top floor and the bulk of the collection.

        • Love it! Well displayed and presented , despite it didn't have an extensive collection! Love also the little cosy coffee with an amazing top view Amman! The mini-shop is also really nice with handcraft-souvenirs!
        • Worth a visit if you are into contemporary art. The artworks are mainly from artist from Jordan and around. Anyhow, there weren't too many artworks I enjoyed in particular. Moreover, the whole arrangement lacks some "love", especially I was confused by one floor that had lights switched off so you could not see the artworks too well. Entrance fee is 5 JD.
        • 2 buildings and the public park between them. Main building is mostly contemporary art, some of it quite cool. Other building seems to be for exhibitions. €5 entrance fee not covered by Jordan pass makes it expensive. Cafe space is expensive but a bit cool.
        • It's two building on opposite sides of a nice small park. Both buildings are dull of really interesting art work. Well set up. Just a bit pricey at 5JD.
        • Excellent and lovely Art Gallery, beautiful artwork and the staff is very helpful. The garden between the two buildings belongs also to the National Gallery of Fine Arts. I recommend a visit
