Les bois!" exclaimed the French-Canadian trappers when they first explored the area after crossing the arid desert plains and saw the lush arboreal feast of trees along the Boise River. Indeed, when your own eyes gaze upon the green gem that is the city of Boise (pronounced boy-see), you'll be shouting "the trees!" too!

Located along the Boise River and nestled against foothills of the Rocky Mountains, local residents can have many outdoor activities in this city, from skiing 30 minutes away at Bogus Basin Ski Resort to biking on the Boise River Greenbelt to boating at nearby reservoirs. The Boise area has it all - desert, rivers, mountains and lakes for hiking, camping, rock climbing, kayaking, river rafting, hunting and fishing.

Downtown Boise is a clean, thriving, and vibrant hot spot, complete with a symphony orchestra, zoo, historic Egyptian theater, multiple museums, a university, opera and ballet companies, and some of the best-maintained parks in the country.

Here are some reviews of Boise Airport - don't forget to let us know how you got on by using the drop box at the bottom of the page, or joining our community and making a review.

        • Along with the Tampa airport, this is my favorite in the U.S. Love the laid-back, uncrowded, first-class environment. There's no need for a VIP lounge, just get a cup of coffee and sit in the huge open cafe, which has wall-to-wall windows facing the runway. One time I had an hour to spare, since security goes fairly fast, and I sat there looking at the runway and the mountains in the distance. There wasn't a single flight during that hour, but I did watch a tumbleweed tumble all the way down the runway. Now that's unique. Won't see that in Heathrow or Frankfurt.
        • One of the easiest, most comfortable airports I have experienced. Would have given it 5 stars except for their failed attempt to only have local restaurants serving in the airport. If you want local, don't hire a management company from elsewhere to pretend and uphold local standards.
        • One of the cleanest airports I've flown from. Security has never been rude to me here, unlike other airports.
        • This is probably one of the best airports out in the world. Every staff member there cares about the passengers and is always willing to help out, needless to say, they almost always have a smile on their face as well! The TSA officers are also very nice as well, they also have a great, yet professional sense of humor too, and know that passengers need to get places! They do a great job at getting tons of people through security efficiency and quickly, and all at the same time, staying happy and caring at the same time! There is also a decent selection of food there to eat here too! And best of all, there are big windows looking out at the runway so you can watch planes take off and land while you get a bite to eat. This is a very good airport!
        • Laid back atmosphere, decent food selection, and tsa doesn't take that long.
        • I've never run into problems coming here. Ample parking (short and long term). Dropoff/pickup areas are decent. Security line always seems to be rather efficient. Has a decent variety of food options in the terminal. They've never lost my bags.
        • Great airport to fly into. Nice people, clean facilities and easy to get around in. Contemporary art to enjoy as well.
        • The airport was great however the service from oversized bag check attendant was sub par at the very best. Along with being exceedingly rude and unpleasant when I offered to put my bag down in a convenient spot for him, I watched him throw around our bags in a damaging way. Which was evident from the trashed ski bag that I was returned when I arrived at my final destination. Overall good airport and at least one staff member who needs an attitude adjustment.
        • This is a very nice small airport. It isn't big and super busy, but it isn't tiny. It's updated, clean, and well organized. It has some good food options. The staff is friendly. I have never seen a long security line here.
        • There are a lot of service awsome place and staff. Went to LAX great flight go BOI!🤗😆
        • Alaska Airlines staff were wonderful. Airport layout is simple although be sure once you depart the airplane, you take the stairs down after security to leave on ground floor.
        • Very easy to get around, find my terminal, gate etc... has a very nice, casual feel to it unlike some other airports you feel like you're going to prison
        • this airport is the BOI meme. if you don't agree with me, then BOI XD
        • This is a cool little airport! Easy to get in and out, security seems to go efficiently and parking is close. Nice shops and good food places.
        • Great airport except the food. Smashbuger is terrible. Unfriendly, slow, miss managed. The Boise Airport should really consider bring back McDonald's.
        • The Boise Airport (BOI) is a small airport that is very easy to navigate. There are three accessible levels with restaurants on the first and second levels. The first level gates board the airplanes outside using stairs. The second level gates board the airplanes inside using a jet bridge (jetway). The majority of shops and restaurants are on the second level. Prior to entering the secured area you can sit outside on the second level in front of the Boise Airport (BOI) with a view of the parking garage. All rental cars are on one side of the Boise Airport (BOI) and leaving/returning to the area is very easy.
        • A Perfect little airport. only met one rude TSA person at this airport ever and I have flown in and out of Boise several dozen times. Easy to get in and easy to get out. Most all staff was friendly and the airport is super clean.
        • Small, easily accessible. Lines are generally short and move quirky for the Alaska terminals. Decent food options too.
        • From my experiences here, there are usually no long lines at check-in or security and the check-in staff for Alaska and Southwest (airlines most often flown out of BOI) are very helpful. The airport is clean with restrooms and a number of eateries. The arrivals and departures drop-off areas sometimes see increases in traffic, making it occasionally tough to find a spot in line to pick up or drop off.
        • Small airport. Easy to get in and out of.
