• Irving

  Irving is a suburb, west of Dallas, and is most famous for being the home of Texas Stadium, where the Dallas Cowboys play.
  
  Irving has become a powerhouse for industrial business and lower-end commerce. You can find many imports from various locations, unfinished antiques, and about a million types of household items. Big business is slowly moving into Irving bringing with it jobs, restaurants, and housing opportunities. Irving is centrally located on several freeways which lead right into Dallas.

• Addison

  Addison is a city in Dallas County, Texas (USA). The population was 14,166 at the 2000 census. Addison is a northern suburb of Dallas. The city calls itself the Town of Addison but it is incorporated as a city.
  
  Addison is a popular location for many Dallas-area restaurants because Addison allows restaurants to serve alcoholic beverages by the drink, while many nearby municipalities do not.

• Mesquite

  Mesquite is an eastern suburb of Dallas that is bigger than most people realize. 129,000 people live in the town named after the tree that looks more like a bush. (I can make fun of the name since it's my home town)
  
  Mesquite is a classic North Texas town. Quite conservative. It's politically, religiously, socially and in every way conservative.
  
  The Mesquite Championship Rodeo is the town's claim to fame yet most who live there have probably never been. It's a great tourist event but few of the locals plan their lives around the weekend rodeo.
  
  For years thousands of East Texans have come to Mesquite to shop at Town East Mall. It was the first indoor mall in the country with more than 100 stores. Going back to the 50's Big Town Mall was the place to shop and claims to be the first indoor mall in the nation. It closed a few years back.
  
  The recent "new growth" in Mesquite is to the south and east. Many say that's the region where Jesse James and his gang camped when they were robbing banks and trains in and around Mesquite. Such folk lore can't be proved (or disproved).
  
  It's still not a bad place to raise kids but it's no Hot Spot. Lots of restaurant chains, H.S. Football and shopping. That about sums it up!

• Grapevine

  Grapevine is a city located in Tarrant and Dallas counties. The city is part of the Dallas Fort Worth Statistical Area and its city limits are mostly within the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, neighboring cities such as Irving and Coppell.
  
  In recent years several wineries have opened in Grapevine, and the city has been very active in maintaining its historic downtown corridor. It has become known for its small local boutiques, wine shops, and street festivals. The city is adjacent to Grapevine Lake, a large reservoir impounded by the Army Corps of Engineers in 1952 and serves as both a source of water and recreational area. Part of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is located within Grapevine city limits, the largest portion of any municipality bordering the facility. In 2007 CNNMoney rated Grapevine as one of "America's Best Places to Live."

  We had a two story room with the bedroom upstairs and the best view of the Dallas Skyline. We were just steps from the fabulous pool. Everyone was professional and kind. Free coffee in the mornings! The bar was small but there was plenty of room to spread out and visit including a screened in porch. Great value for the price. We will come again! Pet friendly!

  It is an alright location. I found the rooms to be a little more run down than I was hoping. The staff was very helpful and they made me feel welcomed. So, even though the rooms were a bit worn out the staff was wonderful.

  Great view and staff! We stayed only one night during our 23 hours layover in Dallas. It was my first time in town and I absolutely loved it. The hotel has a great vibe. Way better then all the chain hotels that are all the same... and the bar run by the Smoke restaurant and the restaurant itself are just great.

  Such an amazing building! It has so much charm and character to it. The lounge was designed really well. The staff is really nice! One of the most unique and coolest hotels in Dallas. It is close to lots of great spots in Oak Cliff as well. And it's not far from downtown. While your here I recommend going across the street for coffee at Houndstooth.

  Extremely affordable place to stay while visiting Dallas, TX . Rooms are teeny and I mean *teeny* hence the hotel's name.Despite small room size, the room was extremely comfy and clean. The hallways are dark and the elevator was also small and cramped when you have a lot of folks in there but overall, I've had a positive experience when staying there ... and I've lodged there twice now. It's got a great location and is walking distance from tons of food and a fabulous pizza joint.
