  At first glance people might assume that Oklahoma City doesn’t have a lot going for it. After all, it’s in Oklahoma, and there just doesn’t seem to be a lot that the state has to offer for the adventurer…at least not at first glance. And while it’s true that Oklahoma City doesn’t boast the wild nightlife of New York City or the natural beauty of places like Seattle, it is still a major player on the plains, with one of the largest and most important livestock markets in the world. Chances are if you are a meat eater, it probably came through Oklahoma City at some point.
  
  Not to mention, the city is right on top of massive natural gas and oil pockets, with energy companies playing a large part of what modern Oklahoma City is all about. And while many people remember the city for the tragic Oklahoma City bombings back in 1995—the most destructive act of domestic terrorism in the history of the United States—the city has transformed into the 21st century as a leader in more ways than one.
  
  Pick your poison, as the saying goes. You can visit the Oklahoma City Museum of Art and explore the cultural side of things, or you can head over to the seven stories of botanical speculates at the place of Myriad Gardens. Furthermore, you can find the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, not to mention a Six Flags amusement park if the local color starts to wear a little thin. Also, this city is counted in those areas where steakhouses present closely inside the short detachment of each other, and it could be said that you will find no place like this where you can enjoy a steak.
  
  There is also Oklahoma State University and several other schools, and when you roll everything up together, Oklahoma City is one of those quintessential American cities that must to be experienced first-hand to really understand what it’s all about.

  One of the last states to enter into the United States collection, Oklahoma was originally intended to be a segregated collection of two states: the Oklahoma Territory and Indian Territory. Both were combined on November 16th, 1907 to create the state as it exists today, and the combination of Native American and pioneer history with natural beauty make for a unique trip.
  
  Oklahoma has a variety of landscapes depending on which portion of the state you happen to be in. Bordered by Texas, Arkansas, and Kansas, as well as tiny portions of Colorado, New Mexico, and Missouri, the state is a major producer of natural gas and oil for U.S. residents, as well as having a rich industry in biotechnology and agriculture. The landscape varies from rolling hills and forests in the eastern part of the state, close to the Ozark Mountains region of Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri, to the more open Great Plains portions in the western section of the state. While not quite Tornado Alley, the area still gets hit with severe summer weather which can include plenty of heavy thunderstorms and tornadoes annually, so plan your trip accordingly. All in all, Oklahoma has over 10 distinctly different ecological regions, and is one of the most geographically diverse states in the nation. As a result, the natural beauty of the state is unparalleled. There are 50 state parks, six national parks, and plenty of landscape to be in awe over.
  
  Oklahoma was also the final resting place of the Five Civilized Tribes and the end of the Trail of Tears, and combined with the cattle drives of the 19th century gives the whole state a rich Native American and cowboy melding of traditions, with four of the five major cattle trails of the time running through what was then known simply as Indian Territory. And while it’s hard to see in the major cities such as Oklahoma City outside of places like the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, this state was not so long ago one of the last remnants of the western way of life.

  He was my doctor twice for in-patient stay at the hospital. He was extremely thorough and careful in my treatment as far as precautions. I was warned he didn't have the best bedtime manner but I didn't find him very rude, just not particularly long-winded and fuzzy. The second time, he came down to see me a few hours after I was admitted, even though I was still stuck in the emergency room.
