• Madisonville

  As a result of a wealth of shellfish Madisonville was supposed to be the site of the Native American town of Chiconcte. In 1810 for the appreciation of President of the United States James Madison, it was renamed.

   Its an essential port giving various products like bricks and different things of the towns along the Tchefuncte to New Orleans in the decades prior to the American Civil War.

  In the late twentieth century, the beginning of the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway and related roads consistently conveyed Madisonville into the hover of Greater New Orleans.

  In 2005, a great part of the town overwhelmed with the Lake Pontchartrain storm flood of Hurricane Katrina. Alongside the lower levels of the fire station, the police headquarters were also demolished by the floodwaters.

  Closely where the stream enters Lake Pontchartrain, there is a lighthouse toward the finish of the Tchefuncte River, which was constructed in 1838 and is on the United States National Register of Historic Places. In 1965, the land course to the beacon was annihilated by Hurricane Betsy and since then one can only reach it via boat.

  Hammond is a medium town with services. It is a comfortable stop on I 12 about halfway between Baton Rouge and Slidell. I was always in a hurry there and grabbed good fast food there; but I feel certain that you could do better than fast food.

  I have been seeing Dr Baldone almost since she first started her practice. The very first thing that I liked about her, besides her demeanor, was that I came in wanting filler for my marionette lines. She told me that if I had a certain amount of money to spend I should do the furrows between my brows. Honestly I hadn’t even noticed those, but when I looked in the mirror I saw exactly what she was talking about. I have deferred to her ever since then. She tells me when I don’t need filler or Botox, even when I’m do for it. She’s not out to make money. She wants to make you the best you that you can be. She also does mole checks on all of my sons and me. When my son has had to have moles removed she checks until it is completely numb before proceeding. Dr Baldone always answers any questions and never makes you feel hurried. Her staff is amazing. They help you with everything. Her Aestheticians are also super professional while being very friendly at the same time. I’m on a maintenance program at this point so I see the Aestheticians more then Dr Baldone. I see Leila mostly because she’s been there for years and I love working with her. I’ve had a few procedures done by Kelly and she is very good too. Also very sweet. My son sees her monthly. I recommend all of my friends to Dr Baldone and whenever anyone comments on my skin I always give Dr Baldone the credit.

  I’ve been going to Dr. Baldone for almost 3 years now. While I do love her, her staff is absolutely terrible. I have been on the same prescription of birth control for 2 years now for my acne. When i called to refill my prescription (a week before i was out) at my local CVS, they said i was out of refills and they contacted my prescriber for me to get authorization for my refill. Great! I went to CVS the next day thinking it would be ready and of course it wasn’t. They told me my prescriber had not answered and i need to contact my doctor. But it was already 5:00 on a Friday which meant i would not be able to get a hold of my doctor until Monday morning since they had already closed. By this point i’m a little aggravated knowing that i’m about to miss a pill for sunday night. Monday morning comes and i call as soon as they open. I talked to one of the staff memebers in the office and she said she would hand it over to the nurse and she would call me back later that day. Now it’s Tuesday and they still have not contacted me. I call them again and they finally refill my prescription and contact CVS. By this time i’ve missed 3 pills of my birth control and if you know how birth control works you have to take a pill everyday at the exact time. Since i’ve missed 3 pills i’m extremely moody and hormonal since i haven’t taken it. Needless to say i will only be going back to Dr. Baldone if my face breaks out, etc. and i will be switching my prescription to my other doctor.
