      • Raleigh
Raleigh is the capital city of North Carolina. It is the southern tip of the "Triangle" city region that includes Durham and Chapel Hill. Located between the coastal plain and the Piedmont area, Raleigh is a pleasant city of rolling hills surrounded by forested areas.

Raleigh and its suburbs, especially Cary and Apex, have become a hot spot for growth, and the Research Triangle Park (which is shared with sister cities, Durham and Chapel Hill) has become a center for biotech research as well as high-tech firms.

The quality of life in Raleigh is extremely high, with low cost of living, and a development plan that has kept ahead of the worst traffic problems. While not particularly filled with attractions, a visit to Exploris (the children's museum), and other places downtown can easily fill a weekend of activities.

Exploris & Playspace have merged under the name Marbles Kids Museum.

Raleigh has several colleges and universities including, Meredith College, Peace College, St Augustine's College, Shaw University and North Carolina State University (NC State). NC State athletic teams compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference and play football at Carter-Finley Stadium and basketball at the RBC Center. The RBC Center is also home to the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes, 2006 Stanley Cup Champions.

      • North Carolina
One of the original 13 colonies first known simply as the Province of Carolina, North Carolina is a state filled with breathtaking natural beauty and a mixture of Native American and American histories blended together. One of the original Confederate states and the birthplace of modern flight with the Wright brothers, North Carolina has a blend of outdoor activities and major metropolises such as Charlotte and Raleigh, and is one of the most exciting destinations for the adventure-oriented travel.

Most of North Carolina's charm comes from its natural beauty. From the Great Smoky Mountain National Park to the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, or the miles-long stretch of beaches that make up the Outer Banks and the Crystal Coast or places like Cape Lookout National Seashore, there is a wide range of visual excitement to be experienced within the state, regardless if you happen to enjoy seashores, mountains, forests, lakes and rivers, or simply hiking along secluded trails.

In addition to all of this, North Carolina has the largest population of Native Americans east of the Mississippi River, with eight Native American Tribes recognized in the state, all of whom can trace their history back to long before the Europeans ever set foot on North American soil. While technically categorized as a Southern state, bordering Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Virginia, North Carolina is much more than just Southern. While agriculture remains a prominent industry within the state, especially with tobacco and soybeans, the national parks and coastal regions bring in plenty of tourists over the course of every year, and it’s easy to see why once you set foot in the state. Regardless if you are here for a historical visit in Raleigh or Charlotte, or to take advantage of the hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails in any of the various national parks and mountainous regions, or simply to bask in the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean view from Cape Lookout, North Carolina offers exactly what you need.

        • Andrew Ghassemian, MD and Dr Echt are the doctors I see. Both of them have always been very professional and cared about my problems. Dr Echt has cut 3 cancerous moles and other problems. Their nurses are caring and very pleasant. The ladies in the office was very pleasant also.
        • Terrible office staff, nurses and Dr. I've been going here for at least 10 years to see Dr. Holly Martin who is the best. She's always really nice and comforting. I had an appointment scheduled for fillers which I had already had a consultation for back in November or December of 2017. During the consultation with Erin Kidd, I was under the impression that she would be doing the fillers. I called when I was ready to make the appointment and was told she did not do fillers. Why would I have a consultation with someone who doesn't do them? I was told by the office that I didn't need to see Dr. Echt prior to the appointment. The fillers were already paid for which was a challenge in itself since the office staff are incompetent. They took over a week to ask the doctor about which filler I was getting, so that I could pay, and then never called me back. My appointment was scheduled on a day that it snowed, so then I had to reschedule. The office staff hung up on me twice and were very rude when I was trying to reschedule. I went in this afternoon for my appointment and met Dr. Echt for the first time. She seems very distant and awkward. She told me she did not feel comfortable doing fillers on a 23 year old. (Which would have been fine had I not spend money and several months on this.) She then made very uncomfortable comments that "the lip injections are several needles going into your lips and it will hurt." This is not how you speak to a patient whatsoever. I think she saw my age and completely wrote me off before meeting me. She said she was skeptical when speaking to Erin Kidd, and could have called me to cancel the appointment but she "wanted to meet me first". After exiting the room where I was speaking to Dr. Echt, several of the nurses including Stephanie Webster were glaring and laughing at me. When I spoke to Stephanie to say that it isn't professional to act that way, she walked away while glaring and saying, "well we weren't." The whole experience was terrible and I would never recommend anyone to come here. Apart from Dr. Holly Martin and the office manager Nga Moore, the staff does not care about you at all. Do not waste your time or money like I did.
        • Dr. Echt has taken great care of our family for 15 years. She is a wonderful dermatologist and I trust her implicitly. I refer friends to her regularly.
        • I've gone here to see Holly Martin for acne and she made my situation worse. She prescribed cream that was too strong and caused more inflammation. She told me she would never prescribe Accutane so I went to another dermatologist who did and thought I needed it given my history and I'm so happy with my skin now
        • Audrey Echt is a great dermatologist and I would highly recommend them. I have been to her for a couple problems and she has been spot on. Her office is professional and the wait has always been short. In and out in a very reasonable time.
        • The doctor I have seen there for 3-4 years seems proficient but the overall experience is poor at best. The medication I had been taking was becoming ineffective so he tried me on a new one. All was going well then my pharmacy notified me that I was out of refills after just 90 days. So I call the office to get refill - they tell me they have to see me first / booked out 3 weeks / he going on vacation / put me on cancellation list - meanwhile all I want to do is my job and get the med. No concept of "see things from the eyes of the customer" here. Why not have professionalism to book follow up appointment when I am there? Why not at least tell me going to need to see me again in 90 days? Tell your kids to become dermatologists, with a minor in business management - we need more options in Raleigh.
        • I don’t think I’ve ever been treated so poorly. I tried to resolve a billing problem with the billing guy, I hardly got a word in edgewise. He talked over me like I was not even on the phone. My wife and I went to have our yearly preventive skin check. First we did not get to see the Dr. NP instead, then, they billed my wife $40 more than they billed me for the same routine skin check. When I attempted to resolve, I was given no reasonable explanation. And there isn’t one, they just make more that way.
        • The office staff was fine and Dr. Echo was pleasant. Unfortunately, she is a terrible surgeon. I had a small premelanoma removed. I had this procedure done several times at my old dermatologist. I was shocked at the size, bruising, awkward and too tight stitches when I removed the bandage. One can barely see the small scar from my previous dermatologist and this one is almost an inch. I had to have a nurse remove the stitches as they were so inflamed. (Size of premelanoma was less than 2mm in both instances.). My daughters, one a veterinarian who does surgery, and the other an MD were shocked at how badly this was done. They both encouraged me to submit a review to help others. I was sorry to write such a bad review as she seems like a nice woman. She really needs to go back and learn surgery.
