Users Assigned: KazmiWisconsin is one of the most vividly stereotyped states in the country (could it have to do with being next to Minnesota? nah.), yet anyone willing to step foot here will realize immediately that the state has a developed deep and ethnic culture. Madison and Milwaukee are thriving urban centers that each boast a multitude of wonderfully unique cultural perks, whereas just outside these cities lies breathtakingly beautiful countryside that resembles central Europe more than it does the Midwest. With championship golf courses, unique breweries and successful vineyards, the peninsula north of Green Bay is also is referred to as the Midwest's Cape Cod.
Milwaukee is the state's largest city and hosts countless summer festivals. Summerfest, the giant music festival, headlines the festival calendar. Many other ethnic festivals dominate the lakefront festival grounds. Madison is the state capital city and the home of the flagship of the University of Wisconsin system, drawing students from all over the world. It makes for a tremendous blend of people.
It is known as "America's Dairyland,". Though California now outproduces Wisconsin by volume of cheese and milk production, Wisconsin still boasts the largest variety of award winning cheeses, more than any other state in the country. Citizens of Wisconsin are referred to as Wisconsinites or "Cheeseheads," because of the prevalence and quality of cheesemaking in the state, and for the novelty hats made of yellow foam in the shape of a triangular block of cheese made popular by the fans of the state's professional football team the Green Bay Packers. Contrary to perception of the state's residents, people do not regularly wear cheesehead hats out in public unless at Lambeau Field or watching a Packers or Badgers game on the road.

OshkoshOshkosh is one of the larger cities in the Fox River Valley of eastern Wisconsin. Oshkosh is on the Western shore of Lake Winnebago and has a population of about 65,000. Oshkosh is located about 90 miles north of Milwaukee, and 55 miles to the south of Green Bay along Highway 41.
