  Calm and Serene. One thing about this monument is it's on the main road where traffic runs through out the day but as soon as you enter it you'll feel a change of an era. The din transits from honking trucks to chirps of birds. Butterflies welcome you and the trees show you path. You become happy. Happy from within. And you see black bucks and amidst the tomb of Akbar the great. The tomb great in itself. And then you sit in contemplation watching the human and the god made things living together in harmony. Advice- sit there and relax. Best season- Feb

  A very breathtaking and calm face and some beautiful Mughal Architecture. It has some amazing features such as if you speak in one of the columns in the side, your voice can be heard through the diagonal column!!! Much more amazing architecture to see as well as some wildlife like antelope herds can be seen.

  A very beautiful and calm place to visit. In fact, it's a very important monument that you can't miss if you are visiting Agra. It's about 30 minutes from Agra on Mathura Road (NH-19). Remember one thing: the caretaker of the tomb inside will tell you that photography is not allowed. It is very much allowed. Just be firm and tell them to show a sign or the rule book. Take as many photos as you want. If you want, you may pay some money on the tomb, which the people there say go to helping poor kids. This is what they say, I'm not sure.

  India has a lot of places like this so it is very similar, but still amazing to see. It's impressive how they built symmetrical places like this. Don't waste your money on guides and beware of the monkeys that are walking around. They will steal anything you are holding.

  Sikandra is the mausoleum of Emperor Akbar, the greatest of the Mughals. It is truly befitting his stature. It is nothing like any of the usual Islamic mausoleums, with their central dome structure. Instead, it starts with a gateway which has 4 minarets of its own! It could be an independent monument. The central structure is amazing, and Akbar's crypt is in the basement of the structure which is accessed through a long walkway. The amazing thing is the geometry of the structure. Standing at the centre of the structure next to Akbar's grave, you can see a sliver of light as the walkway rises gently up, and in that light you can see the silhouette of the entrance gate of the monument which is almost 500 meters away. It is a breathtaking experience.
