        • A nice historical place to visit. Neat and clean with good ambience. The Tomb of Mariam-uz-Zamani is the mausoleum of Mariam-uz-Zamani, the Hindu consort of the Mughal Emperor Akbar. The tomb was built by Jahangir, in memory of his mother Mariam-uz-Zamani. The tomb is located in Sikandra, a suburb of Agra.  It has three storeys. The lowest one is the grave, the cenotaph is in the middle or lower floor and the top floor is the terrace with garden. The ground floor has about forty chambers. The tomb has many architectural masterpieces. This tomb does not have a dome, unlike other Mughal empire tombs.  This monument looks the same from front and back. If you think you have already visited a lot of graves, you should visit this to know that not all tombs are the same in Mughal Empire.
        • Mariam Uz Zamani the Hindu wife of Akbar the Mughal Emoeror. The history tells that Mariam urf Jodha the eldest daughter of Raja Bharmal a Rajput was the closest of the great emperor. Jahangir the eldest son of Akbar was the only son of Mariam built the tomb for his beloved mother. His mother died after his birth. The tomb is the closest one among the other wives tomb of Akbar's Tomb
        • Mariam-uz-Zamani's tomb is located on the left side of Agra-Mathura road, to the west of Akbar’s tomb, Sikandara. The tomb houses the mortal remains of Mariam Zamani, a Rajpt Princess of Amber (Jaipur) and the wife of Emperor Akbar and mother of Jahangir (Salim). The structure was originally a pleasure pavilion under Sikander Lodi who built it in AD 1495. Additions and renovations were made in 1623 AD when this baradari was converted into a tomb. The ground floor consists of some forty chambers built by Sikander Lodi, which bear faint traces of paintings on plastered walls. The centre of the ground floor houses the cenotaph of Mariam. The facades of the baradari had been veneered with red sandstone, which is cut into numerous panels and adorned with geometrical patterns carved in bas-relief. Each quoin of the structure is added with an ornamental octagonal tower. The tower is crowned by a pavilion supported by slender pillars. The upper storey contains the marble cenotaph.
        • Small, clean and tidy monument! Its not very famous and therefore good to visit!
        • Mughal art is priceless. Creativity with sentimental value for theirs
