Later Prince Korkut the son of Bayezit built a minaret on it and converted it into a mosque. The historical structure was used by Prince Sehzade Korkut, as a mosque. Kesik minaret mosque has a unique architectural design that attracts tourists from across the globe.
The structure underwent modifications during the Byzantine Empire and restoration during the ottomans empire.
Most parts of the mosque are destroyed and the only remaining part is the Kesik minaret of the wooden minaret was destroyed in a fire during the 19th century.
