    Fond Doux Plantation & Resort is a 19th century eco-friendly boutique resort situated amidst a 250-yr. old traditional working plantation.

    The plantation resort features fifteen private and comfortable cottages, two onsite restaurants, spa, gift shop, wedding gazebo, triple cascading pool and hiking trails.

    Fond Doux Plantation & Resort is located within the UNESCO World Heritage site and is minutes away from the island’s main attractions.

    It offers an authentic Saint Lucian experience to vacationers who wish to experience the real St. Lucia

    We are located in Soufriere and is a 45 minute drive from the international airport (UVF). The best way to get  to the resort is via taxi or rental car. A rental car would be necessary if you intend on doing lots of sightseeing. We advise our guest to move around by taxi for the first day or two in order to get used to the roads in Saint Lucia. Taxi services are available at the resort.

    The best way to get around the resort is via taxi or a rental car. A rental car would be necessary if you intend on doing lots of sightseeing. We advise our guest to move around by taxi for the first day or two in order to get used to the roads in Saint Lucia. Taxi services are available at the resort .
    The more adventurous, can use the local mini bus which operates from 6am - 6pm Mon - Sat. Please be advised that the local buses do not go at scheduled times. Guests can also walk to the nearby resorts and the Sulphur Springs.

    We have two restaurants onsite namely the Cocoa Pod Restaurant and Bamboo Restaurant. The Cocoa Pod Restaurant offers its diners authentic Saint Lucian Creole cuisine. The menu features Creole chicken and freshly caught fish, infused with locally-grown seasonings, vegetables, salads, staples and traditional St. Lucian preparations, making for healthy, delicious, and unique culinary experiences.

    The Bamboo Restaurant offers a le carte options for both lunch and dinner with a fusion of Caribbean and St. Lucian cuisine. The lunch menu has been thoughtfully designed to have lighter, healthier dishes to include organic soups, salads sandwiches, wraps, roti’s and pasta dishes. The dinner menus are created with the freshest produce found in the resort’s gardens, including local farmed fresh water shrimps. Enjoy a selection of signature dishes combined with a modern interpretation of authentic Saint Lucian cuisine to include vegetable soups, chicken/fish souse kaye, organic house salads, pan seared Mahi- Mahi, Creole shrimps, Jerk pan fried chicken breast and grilled beef sirloin.

    One Bedroom Cottages:There are 4 one-bedroom cottages at Fond Doux Plantation & Resort in St. Lucia, each lovingly restored and hand-crafted by Caribbean artisans. Our one-bedroom accommodations are perfectly suited for couples looking to enjoy some peace and quiet in a romantic and secluded setting, far away from the hoards of tourists found at other resorts in St. Lucia. Each cottage also offers a wide range of amenities to make sure your stay with us is as comfortable and relaxing as possible.
    One Bedroom Cottage with pool:
    Set amidst our spectacular tropical grounds, our 2 One Bedroom Cottages with Pool are the perfect option for a romantic escape. These beautiful hand-built cottages feature all of the comforts of our One Bedroom Cottage, as well as a private plunge pool, the perfect place to unwind after the day’s adventures. As with all of our cottages, a wide range of amenities are available to ensure that your stay with us is as comfortable and relaxing as possible.

    Honeymoon Suite:There are 6 stand-alone honeymoon suites that are the epitome of romance. After waking up in your King-size four post bed, get ready for the day in your cottage’s private outdoor rainforest shower or take a dip in your own private plunge pool, all the while looking out over the gorgeous, lush greens and fruit trees that adorn the resort grounds.

    Deluxe One Bedroom Cottage: If you only need one bedroom during your vacation in St. Lucia, but are looking for more space, our resort’s Deluxe 1 Bedroom Cottage is quite a bit larger than the 1 Bedroom Cottages and is better set-up for self-catering. It offers two levels, with a living room, dining room, outdoor kitchen, and bathroom on the main floor, plus a spacious master bedroom and second bathroom on the upper floor.

    Two Bedroom Cottage :There are 2 two-bedroom cottages at our resort, crafted by local artisans and ideal for families or friends who are traveling to St. Lucia together. Hang out in your own private, stand-alone cottage, beautifully accented with French colonial touches. King beds ensure you’re as comfortable as possible, and patios with rocking chairs are the perfect place to relax into island time and take in the heavenly odors of lush citrus, fruit, and cocoa trees that surround your cottage.

        My husband I had the pleasure of visiting the Foud Doux Plantation in January 2017. First and foremost, the people that worked there made you feel at home and cared for. The grounds and vegetation was magnificent. The views were so lush and the rooms gave you a feeling of what the place may have felt like in the past. The plantation is about 250 years old and they are considered an ECO Hotel. They grow lots of different types of fruits and vegetables that they use in their onsite restaurant to cook. The food is very good and tasty. While staying there you will see the owners who will make the effort to come up and personally greet you. The hotel also offers a very generous complimentary breakfast with eggs cooked your way, fresh baked breads and cakes, bacon, fresh fruit, pan cakes, french toast, juices, coffee, local dishes and much more..... Last but not least we must say that what stood out the MOST was upon the last day of our stay my husband came down with a sinus infection and we had to fly back to the US the next day. We spoke to one of the employees who immediately went to the hotel Manager and she immediately had their grounds driver Denis personally take us to the doctor in town. He was very courteous and walked us right up the the town physician and then waited for us to finish. Then took us to the pharmacy and got our meds. We were so touched by their kindness. No extra charges. Then the next day we were supposed to check out by 11am but they allowed us to stay in the room since no one booked it for that day so my husband could rest until the taxi came for us to go to the airport. We give high marks for their service and kindness. Their prices are very reasonable as well. We had a wonderful stay!

        Enjoyed our stay. The food was good and staff mostly friendly and helpful. Cottages, with the plunge pool, set against the hillside were spectacular. Tour of the plantation and views well worth the effort. Spa treatments needed a little more effort.

        To do while in St Lucia. Nice walk up with a view on the Pitons and cool garden. Although, if you wish to learn about cacao, it's not the right place. This is more about fruits, plants and gardens.

        We ate a nice buffet lunch and had a short tour as part of another excursion

        It was more than I imagined. The shrubs and flowers although impeccably manicured still gave the feeling of nature at its finest exuberance. The quiet privacy of our cottage was just what we needed. The cuisine and bar were world class and the service was attentive without being intrusive.
