Do I need expat health insurance?
Does anyone have any current info regarding health insurance for expats? Coming to Chiang Mai for 3 months Jun 1st, 2017 from Canada.

    Ais was recommended to me today, usually a full year of coverage but the prorate from January to December, so might work for you

Health insurance for 3 months would be just the regular old holiday/travel insurance. Anything over a year become 'expat' & is much more expensive. ( well, that is what I discovered when I did some research on it in Australia)

I opened a bank account with Bangkok bank...then,through them, I got accident cover which covers me for approx 2000 baht per year...Anything major,I'd want to go home to UK for anyway....hope thats helpful....
