Overnight trip to kanchanaburi and the erawan falls
I've got a friend visiting next week and thinking of doing an overnight trip to kanchanaburi and the erawan falls. I'm not fussed about doing an organised tour so wondered if anyone had advice on good transport to there from Bangkok please? Also if anyone knows an interesting hotel up there.

    try to avoid holidays and weekends that's when very busy normal days are good. Hope you go and have a look at all seven water falls

First time its better to go by minibus with small group (8-12 people). Great save for money and less time not to find any troubles). BTW, Erawan quite boring, its not Niagara falls, so if you wanted to look only it - the choice is yours. I visited once and looked all around.... Nothing special.

There is a hotel just at Erawan park ( not sure about the name and N of rooms) and a few near the park, f.ex. the Hub resort

The train from Hua Lamphong Station out to Kanchanaburi is okay too. Plus it's cheap as chips..
