British Passport Renewal professional worker do they need to know me?
Hopefully someone can help me. I'm renewing my British passport, I've done the internet thing + downloaded the form but I can't find a section which asks for a signature from a professional worker. My question is, do I need to get my photo signed by someone who knows me? Thanks in advance

I renewed my passport in January, when I printed off my form i needed someone to counter sign for me. But I also remember that it stated that some would be processed without it. I think it depends on the information about yourself that you input in at the beginning of the process. Basically if you didn't get the section regarding it on your printed form then it means you don't need it. Hope this makes sense and helps. (Going from my own experience)

If I remember correctly.. If you have your old passport then it is prof of identity and no signature is needed. If you are obtaining a new passport for a child a fellow British should sign the photo and form

    I recently renewed my kids passport and that's what I did, this is what gave the problem. Thanks

    If there is doubt maybe best get a fellow Brit to sign and cover all bases.

I got a pharmacy to sign mine, not the picture but the actual form.
