Users Assigned: KazmiRahim Yar Khan was at first known as AROR or ALOR and later on, it was renamed countless times. Phul Wada, City of Pathans, Noshehra are some of the names it got before it was given its current name. It is one of those rare cities that still stand at their pioneering location. London and Damascus are similar examples.
It is known as Punjab’s modern headquarters despite people of cities like Karachi, Lahore etc., thinking of it as a quite distant place. Rahim Yar Khan has excellent civic services and telecommunication connections. It can be approached via multiple ways i.e. roads, railways and airplanes.

Sadiqabad
Sadiqabad was established in 1848 and was named after Bahawalpur’s state’s Amir Sadeq Mohammad Khan V. It is Rahim Yar Khan’s most eminent Tehsil and its headquarters are also located here near KLP road and the main railway road. If you travel by road or train, Sadiqabad will be the last city of the Punjab province that you’ll come across. Geographically speaking Sadiqabad is located 28° 18' 0" in the North and 70° 8' 0" in the East.
It also is the region where the two provinces, Sindh and Punjab along with their respective cultures, coexist. Sindh’s Ghotki District is situated towards its western boundary whereas Punjab’s Rajanpur district is present in its northern part. Towards its south, about 25 km away is the Indian border and Rahim Yar Khan is in its east. Sadiqabad spans over a land of 865¼ square miles and is the district’s largest Tehsil. The border begins from in between Reti railway station and Dandy. It further extends further on Adam Sahaba. The Tehsil is 50km both in breadth and length and from amidst the city flows an alluring canal.
