Overview You can't Edit
Users Assigned: KazmiGujrat is situated between Pakistan’s two renowned rivers i.e. Jhelum and Chenab. This ancient region, being near the river banks, is perfect for rice and sugarcane cultivation. The district covers an area of approximately 3,192 km and includes three tehsils which are Gujrat , Sarai Alamgir and Kharian.
Towards Gujrat’s North East, you’ll find Jammu and Kashmir and in the North East is River Jhelum which also serves to separate it from the Jhelum district in the east. The South Eastern side of the land has River Chenab separating the area from Sialkot and Gujranwala districts. Finally, towards the west is located the district of Mandi Bahauddin.
Climate wise, Gujrat is pretty moderate which means the area is hot within summers and cold during winters. It being surrounded by Azad Kashmir Mountains makes sure that the heat spells aren’t that enduring. During the day, temperature rises as high as 45 degree centigrade. During winters, the weather remains pleasant and the temperature drops at least 2 degree centigrade. The border of Kashmir has an average of 100 cm, Kharian 75 cm, Gujrat 67 cm and Dinga has 50 cm of an average rainfall.
