• Höfn

  Höfn is a small Icelandic fishing town in the southeast corner of the country. With a population under 2000, Höfn is far from a bustling city.
  
  Höfn is a popular spot due to its close proximity to Vatnajökull. Due to this close promixmity, Höfn is homebase for many adventure companies. In Höfn tourists and Icelanders alike plan and prepare to take on Iceland's largest glacier.

  The place looks amazing, it's been redone in 2014. The staff is great and very helpful. Breakfast tasted good, they have a nice selection of drinks and even single malt Scottish whisky (Lagavullin 16 y for example). Would definitely go back.

  Pretty much brand new. Great room with heated tile floor in the bathroom. Good breakfast selection. Rooms were clean and comfortable. This was the nicest hotel we stayed at in Iceland.Triple was roomy enough for us all.

  Stayed night of May 24, 2016. On arrival the front desk was overwhelmed with a bus-load of tourists. Eventually we were checked in. We had asked for one double bed, and found 2 twin beds in the room. We asked to change rooms, instead someone came in and pushed the beds together and said that was all they could do. We were given a handicap accessible room, which we did not need nor desire. Showering got every last corner in the bathroom soaked. When checking out we asked for consideration in our bill for the room problems, but were told they would not consider. Restaurant service was poor. I'll not return to this hotel location. I will say the views were spectacular, and for that I give the hotel one star.

  Very beautiful elegant and the room was impressive. The hotel is secluded enough that I'm sure on the right night you can see the Aurora from your bed
