Quebec City, Quebec Canada Tips & Recommendations before cruise?
We will be sailing out of Quebec City, Quebec Canada end of September on a 12 day Canada New England cruise.

We board and over night there Sunday and depart on Monday night 10pm...do we even need more time to explore Quebec City?

Anyone have any experience, tips or hotel recommendations?

Quebec City is so beautiful with lots of lovely architecture and great shops.

If you’re into sightseeing & shopping you might want to go a little earlier so you have time to see it.

I don't have recommendations regarding accommodations. However Quebec City is one of my favorite cities in Canada.

If you can swing it I would stay at least a few days. There is also lots to see outside of the city if you have a vehicle or up for renting.

I recommend you spend as much time as possible in Quebec City. September is usually really nice there, good light, not too warm or cold. In terms of hotels there’s lots to choose from in or near old Quebec.

If you want to stay at an iconic place, Chateau Frontenac is pretty special.

There are also a bunch of small affordable hotels in the area. Old Quebec is safe and it’s a nice place to have a stroll.

There’s museums to visit, too, like Musée de la civilisation and Musee des beaux arts du Québec, and of course la Citadelle (Québec used to be a walled city).

In terms of restaurants I can not recommend Chez Boulay enough. And also Le Billig and Chez Paillard.
