Users Assigned: KazmiLviv is a city in Ukraine in the opinion of a specialist in geography. On the hills of picturesque Roztochia, Ukraine’s regional city is located commonly known as Lviv. It is the place where the main Europe watershed as the rivers of the Black Seas basins and Baltic pass here. The crossroad that attaches Eastern and Western Europe overland, exact there Lviv stands. The western facet of Ukraine is represented with the help of this city named as Lviv. Whenever you get the chance to be there, you will really feel the difference for example after Yalta or Odessa.
If you are interested to know about the story of this city then, take the help of historian and he will definitely take a lot of your time in explaining the whole story of the city. The king of Halychyna and Volyn established a castle-town in the middle of 13th century on the hills alongside the Poltva River and he named this castle in the honor of his son, Lev.
If you are curious and interested in knowing the colorful folk tradition, hospitality of the people, cosmopolitan mixture of various nations and the wealth of exquisite art and culture; then ask people who ever visited the Liviv. They will definitely give you the whole detail with various other interesting things. But this gorgeous city of Lviv speaks for itself or defines its own beauty in extremely better or stunning way as compare to any visitor. This is the city which is familiar for its own history where every city has legend and people go to every limit to fulfill their dreams and dreams are definitely said to come true. This city has a special magical attraction and the people who once go there wanted to visit the city and again and again. So, it will be better you come here, visit and experience the city yourself.
Lviv is home to Svitoch, Ukrainian confectionery manufacturer, owned by Nestle now. Back when Ukraine was a part of the USSR, Svitoch was considered one of the best chocolate manufacturers in the world.
When in Lviv, be sure to visit its famous cemetery called Lychakiv Cemetery. You'll see an impressive collection of gravestone monuments many of which are true masterpieces.

Lviv OblastThe West-Ukrainian Capital - this is how Lviv, a city in Western Ukraine, is often called. It is much more ornate than many other cities of Ukraine. Lviv is famous for its old and unique architecture, cathedrals and churches, very active public (both politically and economically) and has long become a place of pilgrimage of many Orthodox and Catholic Christians.
Lviv was visited by about one million travelers from 113 countries of the world in 2010. This city has long become a city of summits and government rendezvous. They say it is, in fact, the second Ukrainian capital. The residents of Western Ukraine often call Lviv the Spiritual Capital of Ukraine. The city has the oldest cathedrals and churches in Ukraine, among them Roman Catholic Cathedral, Assumption Cathedral, St.George's Cathedral, John the Baptist Cathedral, Former Jesuits' Cathedral and others.

The central part of the city has been put on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
