      • Special Capital Region of Jakarta
The Indonesian capital is oddly nicknamed ‘the big durian’, though it turns out this an extremely apt name, as the smelly fruit often prompts a similar love/hate reaction to Jakarta itself. It’s bold, bustling, smoggy and at times featureless, but for all its many downsides, Jakarta leaves absolutely no doubt that it has character.

Most travelers simply rush on through and head for the beaches, but there’s more than enough here to keep you busy for a few happy days. There’s an affordable and decadent nightlife to dive into, the changing vibe of lively China Town, and plenty of oddities like the 17th century Chicken Market drawbridge and 132 meter tall masculine column of Monas. Then there’s Dunia Fantasi, and unlicensed and unsubtle rip off of Disneyland, and bars like West Pacific, home to an increasingly predominant Jakarta rock scene.

Jakarta’s also a great place to go for spa treatments, which vary from the odd and traditional (which could well involve rubbing petals into your back) to body scrubs and herbal treatments. If you really can’t wait to escape the city, Jakarta has its own weekend playground, too, in the thousand-island archipelago, where some of the sandy islands are so small they appear and disappear with every gentle tide. If you look hard enough, you’ll even find turtles and reefs to wallow with.

Back in the city, don’t miss the vibrant markets, where you can pick up beads and fabrics, exotic fruits and wood carvings, as well as the ubiquitous peanut flavored sate, fried rice and super-strength coffee to snack on. The twin spires of the 1901 cathedral and the dungeons and bell towers of the Jakarta Museum – which has a heavy focus on Dutch rule – are well worth checking out, too.

Of course, Jakarta is one of those cities we’re forever seeing in the news for the wrong reasons, and coming here always holds a risk of terrorist attack. Statistically, that risk is very minor, but it’s always worth checking the latest before you travel. It’s a risk many take every year, however, and most are glad they do, as Jakarta – as manic and dirty as it is – is rarely anything less than fascinating.

When you come to Central Jakarta, You will see the National Monument is called "Monas" and on the top of the pile is a real Gold. People must go there to see it until the top of this monument. It's very historical monument for Indonesian people.

      • Bogor
Bogor is a small town about 60 kms south of Jakarta. It is considered a great escape from the hustle-and-bustle of the metropolitan Jakarta. Bogor can be an excellent one-day trip from Jakarta.

Besides known as The rain city, the town is well-known for "Bogor Botanical Garden" (Kebun Raya Bogor), one of the oldest botanical gardens in Southeast Asia. It was launched in 1817. The Garden is home to beautiful trees, exotic flowers, and other plants. One favorite attraction is the largest flower in the world called Rafflesia Arnoldii. Its alias is "corpse flower." It is huge, with its petals growing to more than 1 foot, but it's kind of smelly. Hence, the alias.

Bogor boasts the presidential retreat "Bogor Palace," a mansion previously named Buitenzorg built in 1744 and used as a country retreat during the Dutch and British occupations in the past. The palace houses art collection from former presidents and is known for its herd of deers in the expansive grounds.

Here are some reviews of Indonesia Convention Exhibition - don't forget to let us know how you got on by using the drop box at the bottom of the page, or joining our community and making a review.

        • located at south west of capital city of Jakarta, and close to one of well know huge housing complex. good venue for multiple types of events. they are able to host music concert, car & motor expo, graduation ceremony and other functions. there are few halls which can be connected to one another to provide bigger area - depending on event requirements. air con works very well (tend to be very cold) when i visited the place during a book bazaar. toilets are located at almost every 100m, but sometimes still you can find queues in front of the toilet area (especially for women). they have ample parking space, but for me personally would rather take a taxi or grab car. for option to stay overnight, would recommend Santika ICE which is located next to the hall - hence walking distance.
        • ICE BSD is the biggest venue I visited for a book exhibition. It is very cold but it can exhibit millions of books. The parking area is not as big as the venue, but It doesn't matter since use the online taxi. The facilities are quite good although I didn't see any nursing room. It is clean and luxurious and the area where it is located is well planned and no traffic jam.
        • ✔️A very modern and spacious event and exhibition center that has a lot of facilities for their guests. I had recently been there for the Big Bad Wolf book sale and I'm impressed with the space and the facilities. There is adequate parking spaces, restrooms and lifts. The location, though not in the Golden Triangle, makes it easy to go to as it is not jammed in traffic 24/7. ❌ They're a bit feisty with the air conditioning. Bring a jacket.
        • A big convention center in BSD. It is 10-15 minutes away from the train station (if there is no bad traffic). If you want to eat something, you better bring your own food or go to nearby shopping mall (AEON Mall BSD). For toilet, I think the management should keep the cleanliness and put a cleaning service staff to check the cleanliness every time. Sometimes the visitors make the toilet dirty :(
        • ICE or known as Indonesia Convention Exhibition is currently one of the favorite places to held an event. New buildings, large exhibition area, an adequate facilities, and far away from the Jakarta's heavy traffic has become some reasons behind the success of Indonesia Convention Exhibition. Compared to the well known convention center in Jakarta, Indonesia Convention Exhibition offers a modernized style of convention center. Indonesia Convention Exhibition got an luxury and sleek design to accommodate nowadays need of convention center. But then you still have to be aware when you planning to go there for an event, there would be a long queue for entering the parking lot, even though they got a pretty large space of parking lot, you still need to enjoy the queue there.
