      • Cape Town

The iconic image of Cape Town centers around a severe drop off, from the top of the magical, inspiring peaks of Table Mountains right down to the seal laden beaches and shark-infested waters at the tip of the continent,; 'here be dragons' in one of the world's most notoriously dangerous stretches of water. Africa’s southernmost point is also home to the continent’s third largest city; Cape Town is a spiritual, eccentric and playful place to be, and hosted soccer's international World Cup to its shores in 2010.

It’s difficult not to place Table Mountain at the centre of all things Cape Town. The national park is home to such alluring hiking, climbing and abseiling, as well as astonishing views from 1000 meters directly above sea level, that it’s both geographically and touristically essential. It can be dangerous (and the easy route – the cable car – shuts down during heavy wind), but keep an eye out and you’ll find yourself enthralled as the cloudy ‘tablecloth’ descends and leaves you stumbling through a misty wonderland. If you’re the adventurous type, don’t forget to try out the utter insanity that is ‘kloofing’.

You will find a multicolor selection of districts in the back of the city that include enticing and luminous facades, creative art and crafts, culturally varied fashion. The hefty scars of Apartheid still run deep in Cape Town; just walking from the wealthy districts like Camp Bay into a poorer township area gives a real sense of the division of wealth that keeps ethnic tensions running high. The townships might be upsettingly poor and disease ridden, but they’re also home to heartwarming community projects, and a fantastic taste of the local music scene.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Cape Town without the offshore adventures that come with it. The seas off this cape were once deemed impassable (‘here be dragons’), now they offer the chance for intrepid explorers to cage dive with sharks, wallow with seals, penguin spot and surf. Then there are the passionate soccer games (try to catch a game against a Johannesburg team, for a taste of hardcore rivalry South African style), and the nearby national parks where you can glance at rhinos and buffalo.

A real trailblazer’s paradiso, then, and a city that maintains a staunch South African identity despite its growing international influences. Don’t forget your hiking boots.

      • Stellenbosch
Stellenbosch is largely a university town in the heart of the Cape winelands. Would you want much more as a visitor? Great parties and great wine. There are some superb wine farms, restaurants, pubs and clubs that go well with the natural splendour.

Stellenbosch is situated about 50 kilometers east of Cape Town, along the banks of the Eerste River. It is the second oldest European settlement in South Africa, after Cape Town. The town became known as the City of Oaks due to the large number of oak trees that were planted by its founder, Simon van der Stel, to grace the streets and homesteads.

      • Cape Point

Situated on the Southeast corner of the Cape Peninsula is Cape point. A mountainous and beautiful landscape that goes on for about 30 kilometers to the edge of the African Continent. The coordinates to this scenic landscape being 34°21′26″S 18°29′51″E.

At 249 meters above the water in 1859, a Lighthouse was built here, this effort was limited and the thick blanket of mist was unaffected thus resulted in another lighthouse being built 87 meters away.

The newer lighthouse, built in 1914, is the most powerful on the South African coast with a range of 63 kilometres.

The original lighthouse still stands here and is now used as a centralized monitoring point for all the lighthouses in South Africa.

        • Simply and Nice!! Giving an attractive view. Its not that much big, but its average and well organized. Sufficient facilities for comfortable transit. some passengers are complaining about lost of their baggage. So be aware. Need to re arrange pickup zone.
        • Dynamic, modern and well maintained clean airport, efficient luggage delivery service on arrival, as a regular traveler they need to do something about the taxi operators nagging travelers in the arrival hall, there is more and more of them disguise as visitors! Ample covered parking however the drop off zone is way too small for the airport capacity and too many cars sits and wait there with no regards to inbound or outbound travellers especially when one have lots of luggage or travelling with kids, traffic enforcement are usually around more for visibility than anything else! Shopping facilities are good, with a Woolworths which is convenient and choices of eateries, an Exclusive Books store inside the terminal is always a pleasure to visit. South African Airways lounge and British Airways Slow Lounge are the better private space and worth visiting to stay away from the hectic and at times crowded departure gates space.
        • Nice airport with all of the facilities you'd expect. Security was a breeze and well organized.
        • Friendly and helpful staff and excellent facilities. Sadly pickup zone one leaves a lot to be desired. The rest is just perfect.
        • THEY STEAL FROM YOUR LUGGAGE Everyone please know and remember this! THEY ALWAYS STEAL FROM YOUR LUGGAGE It's happened to me every single time I have flown My dad flew up to me a few days ago. They stole so much from his suit case! They open it up and take whatever they want. They stole all my friends clothes and left him with nothing once he got to a new country You can lock your bags but they will do the same thing. Best is to keep valuables in hand luggage This is the only airport that I have ever flown to that steals from you! These are the officials that check your luggage that steal!
