One of the largest game reserves in Africa along the borders of Mozambique and Zimbabwe, Kruger National Park is a unique place in the African landscape which is also part of the Kruger to Canyons Biosphere, designated by UNESCO as an International Man and Biosphere Reserve. This is one of the ultimate places to experience the African savanna, interspersed with rivers, bluffs, lions, buffalo, rhinos, cheetahs, giraffes, and everything else that makes Africa such a unique place to visit. Covering around 20,000 kilometers of land and divided up into 14 unique eco-zones, each with their own unique types of wildlife, this is the mother lode, the flagship of the South African National Park system.

The park was initially established in 1898 as a wildlife protection, and opened to the public in 1927. There are a variety of camps set up throughout the park, offering individuals access to various accommodations with amenities such as supermarkets, restaurants, gas stations, and rooms available to rent, and while you can technically drive through the park on their network of roads, you can also make your way camp to camp on foot, and there are plenty of mountain bike and hiking trails for those who prefer a more rugged adventure. Not to mention, there are bush camps acting like smaller, less luxurious versions of the main camps, as well as a few private camps that can be used.

It can take literally weeks to explore everything that Kruger National Park has to offer, and the range of landscapes and wildlife is beyond description. Located as it is, the park sees a variety of changes from mountains to savannahs to rushing rivers, canyons, and more, with the diversity of wildlife just as progressive. Whether you want to take a drive through the park or go on a guided hiking tour through various sections, this is the ultimate African adventure where the best of the entire continent is shown in brilliant display.

        • One of the best place i ever seen in my life. I have a passion for diving and going to the kruger is like diving in the earth. You can see everything you want, animals and nature at the same time. Kruger is very safe but do not try to leave your car or exiting the camping alone. Remember this is not a film, animals are real and could be very dangerous. Take care and enjoy.
        • One of my favorite places in South Africa a true gem which provides the perfect escape from usually extremely chaotic lives. The park is of a very high standard with animal welfare clearly the top priority. Unparalleled landscapes and unbelievable close encounters with wild animals make a trip to the Kruger truly unforgettable.
        • Kruger national park is one of my favourite visiting places. Every time it has something new and adventurous. Lion and rhino sightings are just amazing. I think whatever I write about Kruger national park could not justify the experience of being there and enjoying it. Must visit place.
        • Love visiting Kruger. A great opportunity to get away from the hustle and bustle of urban life and enjoy meandering along viewing the diverse array of wildlife. Good service on offer at the camps where we stopped at for meals.
        • One of the best game parks in Southern Africa. Great chances to spot big mammals, with particular regards to the Big 5. Many facilities and accommodation sites to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Full of good stuff, with maybe just 2 drawbacks: - Sometimes it's too mass-tourism oriented - Scarce focus on plant diversity All in all, absolutely worth seeing.
